25.01.2022 May 2020 be full of drought breaking rainfall and breathtaking regrowth across our beautiful yet scorched land. May the skies be clear of smoke, and the fires extinguished so all life can heal. May our hearts and arms widen to support one another always. There is no celebrations this year for me , just quiet reflection of what has been, what is and hopes and prayers for the brightest, most lovely future for us all

15.01.2022 Markets on this Sunday !!

05.01.2022 My heart has been so heavy with the extent of loss & destruction to our nations collective terra firma, the flora & fauna which has been & is being engulfed by fire .. I am finding it difficult to find positives with the bushfires ravaging across NSW and beyond and I pray to the gods for rain to quench the earths thirst and extinguish ALL of the fires. For those who have lost their homes , their livelihoods, their lives , my heart cries for you . For the animals who have & ar...e suffering , who have lost their homes, their food , their lives , tears flow for you . For all those amazing firies , mostly volunteers who stand tall in front of the flames to protect others , I bow down in gratitude to you . For those who are preparing meals for the people on the frontlines & those who have been evacuated , the notes of encouragement, the hugs, the cups of tea , the offerings of treatments to ease their aches & pains, I thank you. Communities assisting in whatever is needed from man power to move animals, to clean clothes & a place to stay, thank you . For all of those who are facing evacuation as I write this , please keep safe & know there are thousands of invisible arms holding you . The positives I see are how communities stand together & support each other which fills my heart with hope & gratitude . For now , I am one of the lucky ones , where my home is safe , as long as I don’t factor in the ‘being controlled’ smouldering fire in the national park less than 5 kms away . It’s going to be a long summer but not in a good way, like when we were kids on school holidays... I look forward to when the rains come & the land begins to heal, when those resilient yet fragile sprouts of new growth start appearing across the scorched earth . When new plant life that have been laying dormant in seed since the last fire start to germinate & seek the sunlight once again . I look forward to when the tanks are full of water again & the land is lusciously green & full of life. When the animals have food to forage & places to hide & play. For today, I am grateful to hear the birds sing & for the beauty of these native boronia flowers See more
