12.01.2022 2020. A year I am looking forward to saying farewell to. There has been a lot of emotional ups and downs, as we have all experienced, and then I lost one of my closest friends from my uni days, Dave (pictured here with his life partner, Vikki). Not only was Dave a great friend and a wonderful human being; he was also a an ambassador for our planet. He was a conservation geneticist who researched rare and endangered species. Much of his studies have paved the way for futu...re research that will benefit so many species. I couldn’t be prouder of my friend. The world is a darker place without him. In lieu of flowers, Dave’s beautiful wife and family have requested donations to @wildlifevictoria. If you are inspired by his life’s work please feel free to donate and support the wonderful work that they do. I have taken some time out in our beautiful Australian bushland which has been so healing. The sights, sounds and smells have taken me back to a time when I also researched endangered animals at @deakinuniversity and had so much hope for our planet. In these times and places, Dave’s memory will always live on. Please accept my apologies for any delays getting back to your enquiries. I will be back on board soon.
