17.01.2022 The 2020 BBCC AGM took place yesterday evening, at the Byron Bay Services club. A brand new committee was handed over the helm of the cycling club. The event began when Kumar Rajaratnam gave his last speech as President, touching upon challenges and accomplishments of his 8 years in the role and the positive outlook for the future. Exiting the committee are also Ian White and John Langler. Thanks John, Ian and Kumar for your great work and extreme dedication to the sport ...we all love! Who's the new President? he responds to the name of Chris Boogert, his vice President is Andrew Hoskins, while Leroy Stevens will take over the secretary role. Deb Fuller remains responsible for the memberships. Unchanged the roles of Treasurer and Handicappers, occupied respectively by Phil Theaker and Glen Hannan. Bon Courage to our new committee! See more

Don’t take yourself to seriously, and think about the incredible utility and beauty of this wonderful sport and what it’s given you. #SKF20 #BBCC #shitkit #cyclingclub #byronbay #cavanbah #TGIF

06.01.2022 Hi everyone, Racing at the Cavanbah Centre is scheduled to resume this Sunday 13th December. Understandably, there is some concern regarding the weather this weekend. We'll keep you updated and notify of any event changes ASAP. In the meantime, we'd like to update everyone on some race logistics we've been working on and will be introducing in our upcoming events. Please have a good read through the attached 'BBCC CAVANBAH CRIT RACING BRIEFING SHEET' and familiarise yourself... with the logistics, rules and expectations for future events at the Cavanbah Centre. In short, these logistics have been implemented to ensure that we can successfully and safely race multiple grades on the track at one time, which I'm sure everyone would agree is in everyone's best interest. The success of these logistics, and the races themselves, depends on the cooperation of everyone involved so please take the time to have a read through and familiarise yourself with them. This document will be posted on the club's Facebook website for further reference and will be available at the sign-on desk at all upcoming events. In the week leading up to each race, your current handicap/grading will also be made available on Facebook and the website (new riders will be assigned a grade on the day). Any concern or disputes regarding grading or any other matter relating the attached document need to be made to myself or Glen Hannan prior to the race. Thank you again for all your support and involvement in getting Cavanbah Crit Racing up and running. Looking forward to seeing you out on the track soon.

06.01.2022 Sunny and warm in the hinterland for today’s BBCC social ride. There was quite some climbing to be done, but our peloton never pulls back. Please, remember that from this Saturday, the departure of our social rides will shift to 6.00am for the entire summer season. See you next weekend!!
