23.01.2022 Rach and Mitchell FINALLY MARRIED - we were supposed to have their initial wedding in April but due to Fig Tree burning down in 2019 their venue was changed and then Covid hit. The next couple of dates were locked in but due to family not being able to attend and more lockdowns we came to a final date of today and with only 25 guests back at @figtreerestaurant gardens (thank you @chedevlin and @byronbayweddings)- over 100 guests that missed today’s celebrations will party ...in 2021. We had guests on zoom as well. Mitch quiet overwhelmed in this moment as his parents couldn’t be there today but Rach’s family embraced him and are excited to have this incredible man part of their family. 19.01.2022 Hello November I’ve just had a MONTH off Social Media. I decided to take a break to prove to myself that I can live without the constant scroll. It was hard at first and I will be honest the good thing is I bought my screen time down by 85%. I have to say that the after week two I almost forgot about posting - it was a nice freedom. I had more time to spend with my family and not document every moment. I also had a couple of lovely intimate weddings which I am looking fo...rward to sharing with you. . I had time to take my daughter to learn pottery which was fun - it made me realise this was something I wanted to put more time into learning - so, I am now in week 3 of my own pottery classes - by Christmas I might have a lovely selection of partially crooked bowls ( I call them character bowls) I have created to eat out of - And I am enjoying it. . With the restrictions once again lifting it is lovely to see the confidence growing once again in booking weddings. 09.01.2022 FAMILY I love keeping my family together- so when, families, sisters, brothers and many others have me back for future weddings I have to admit tears from me are part of the deal- I decided I couldn’t look at Marge (grandmother) crying at her granddaughter wedding (one of my best friends nieces) as she made me cry .. love you Marge . But I’m ok with being real - tears are good - 2020 plenty of those. Like many couples this year they had big plans of a large style wedding and due the all the closesures of borders they realised it could be some time before their South African and Tasmanian parents would be able to attend. They contacted me about a having an intimate elopement in Byron and enjoyed their week long stay at @elementsofbyron - We chose a quiet beach location in Byron where my husband was the chief zoom operator so that both sets of p...arents could witness their ceremony as well as he was witness number 2 - and some very special moments captured by my friend and Photographer April @aprilwerzphotography . 2020 has seen some very special and unique smaller celebrations for me and I do believe I have cried a lot more this year due to how personal and close we all are. .
