19.01.2022 Caroline and Rick have had quite the rollercoaster with their wedding plans this year (as most couples getting married in 2020!). We had all their planning in place and then the second wave of COVID-19 hit Victoria (where the majority of their guests were coming from). They sadly had to postpone to next year. The week their wedding was originally due to take place, Caroline called our team to see if there was any way we could help them elope on their original wedding date. Th...ey had decided to elope now and party later! We loved this idea and were so excited to be able to make this happen. 07.01.2022 Our team are ecstatic about today's border news! A few of us even a shed a tear knowing our lovely couples from Qld with upcoming weddings can now go ahead with their plans. In case you missed it, the Queensland border zone is expanding down to the Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Glen Innes council areas from October the 1st. This means our Qld friends can travel to these NSW border suburbs and not have to quarantine going home . If you're one of our couples who had to postpone because of the border closure, it's likely we still have your original wedding date available, feel free to get in touch to discuss anything.

03.01.2022 And just like that, another wedding fair has passed and what a year it was! On Sunday the 7th February, we celebrated our 9th annual Byron Bay Wedding Fair with warm weather and beautiful clear skies. Despite the ever-changing Covid uncertainty, the 2021 turnout was one of our best yet! A showcase of over 70 amazing suppliers across 16 wedding venues, it was lovely to meet so many couples from all across Australia. We were very fortunate the state borders opened up just in ...time! After the whirlwind that was 2020, the day was truly refreshing and a rejuvenating celebration of our local wedding industry. It was incredible to see so many happy faces! A key highlight this year was Fig Tree Restaurant re-opening its doors 15 months after the devastating fire in 2019.
