07.01.2022 Help to end rough sleeping in the Byron Shire Volunteers are urgently needed for Connections Week, Monday 16 Friday 20 November; a week to focus on the stories and needs of people sleeping rough in our community. We are working together with Byron Shire Council and local partners to establish a register of people sleeping rough in the Byron Shire. During Connections Week, trained volunteers and community sector workers connect with people sleeping rough to conduct surveys... and understand their housing and health needs. However they are going to distribute 150+ Christmas food hampers to individuals/families, homeless and people who are financially disadvantaged and in need.
