It’s written from the perspective of the oppressed, the downtrodden, and the marginalised. History is usually written by the victors, but amazingly this volume of works survived to tell the story of a people almost continually in a state of wandering, enslavement, occupation or exile. Many of us have more in common with the oppressors than the oppressed; with empire than em...ancipation. This poses a challenge for us to properly identify with it’s people and it’s message.
