24.01.2022 This is very much in alignment with the EFT work I do with my clients

23.01.2022 H.E.A.R.T Cards (www.holdmetightworkshop.com/the-heart-cards) to support your relationship conversations and promote Hearftfelt connection, Emotional engagement, Accessibility, Responsiveness and Touch. Gold #EFT #couplestherapy #holdmetight #aceft #iceeft

23.01.2022 I had to wait until p277 but I eventually found my contribution to @stephaniewoodsydneys novel Fake. Grab yourself a copy - its worth it! Easy, conversational narrative about a topic thats far-from easy to narrate, Im sure. #relationships #vintagebooks #attachment #aceft #qut

23.01.2022 The things you find when youre googling yourself I hadnt seen this one, Selena?

22.01.2022 A very good article that reminds us to be a critical consumer...

21.01.2022 Lots of wisdom here.

19.01.2022 A few weeks ago, I was contacted by a writer at The Atlantic magazine and asked to discuss mine and Selena Bunts research about love languages. After many emails back and forth, the article was finally published. I was a little disappointed after all that effort that our study only received a minor mention, and even then our names werent even cited! But I guess even just a vague mention in The Atlantic is better than nothing, and they did link to the full paper! ;)

18.01.2022 While I dont necessarily think asthma is always as easily managed as may be suggested here, I very much like the message delivered here.

16.01.2022 This is why clients need our unconditional positive regard

15.01.2022 A few years ago, I was proud a co-author of a relationship science paper that presented one of the first peer-reviewed empirical investigations of Chapmans Love Languages model, investigating the purported connection between couples love language alignment and their relationship satisfaction. The article proved to be a popular download for the Wiley-published journal Personal Relationships and I recently received this lovely acknowledgement of that success. Thank you Selena Bunt for being a wonderful co-author to work with :)

15.01.2022 What do you think are some of the greatest "implications" for felt-security?

14.01.2022 Connectionsmiles, a brief helloimportant to everyone

14.01.2022 Optimistic October! (yeah, Im a few days late but as Im practicing optimism I can say its OK to start something a little later than I would have liked)

13.01.2022 Mind the language, but the message here is gold

12.01.2022 This is a lovely way to describe attachment and how people may cope with insults to their felt-security.

06.01.2022 I cant like this enough

06.01.2022 If Oprah said it, it must be true! Actually, theres some real research here and I think this is a message we all could benefit from

06.01.2022 If you want to better understand your romantic relationships (past or present) and learn how to shape your interactions to promote a secure bond between you and your partner, then you may be interested in attending one of the Hold Me Tight weekend workshops that ACEFT hosts. The next workshop will be held over the weekend of 26 & 27 October 2019 but places usually fill up fast so get in quick :)

06.01.2022 Did you know that, apparently, swearing can increase your pain tolerance? I like the fact that this research is funded by a painkiller drug company - what do you suppose their next ad campaign will look like?

04.01.2022 Who supports the support dogs?

03.01.2022 I love these monthly calendars that Action for Happiness put up on their FB page. Some great daily goals here!

03.01.2022 Hmmm interesting

02.01.2022 Carry on. You can do it. Carry on and see what might be around the corner.

02.01.2022 I love the message behind this sculpture - children need loving families (regardless of how you define family)

01.01.2022 This reminds me of the message sent throughout the Circle of Security training I did - when children experience big emotions, we shouldnt punish them for that but rather help them to cope with these big emotions.
