Our Custom Made Record and Hi Fi Cabinet We made this elegant piece from Teak Veneer Board with a Solid Teak edging The funky legs are solid walnut and stained black to add a sleek contrast to the body.... The design is reminiscent of the 1960s mid century era. With ample room for all the essential stereo components including Amplifier, record player Tuner and CD as well as all those pesky but essential cables. 19.01.2022 Its not everyday our restoration projects come with their own stationary circa 1800's ... This gorgeous Inlaid box has been a family heirloom for quite some time and was in need of a little TLC. We repaired the veneers and mother of pearl and kept the original purple lining as per our client's request . Stuart worked his magic in the spraybooth and this rather beautiful box is now fully restored and ready to be passed down through the generations once again. A beautiful project we were so happy to be involved in !!

We are just so proud of the work they did and now off these boards are off to the spray booth to glass these boards in time for the holidays

18.01.2022 This classic pine dining suite was given some special attention to bring it back to life and the end result is just fantastic, the restoration including the regluing of the dining chairs gives this family heirloom a brand new lease of life!

The curved legs, the carvings and the fact that it is an extension table just adds to the appeal. 17.01.2022 Diary of a happy camper. CC completed our Intro to Furniture Making Class last Saturday and as you can see, he is pretty pleased about the whole situation. CC chose to make an occasional table from Tasmanian Oak and the end result is just beautiful . A great happy way to start the week !

13.01.2022 The creativity and skill of our Woodworking students continues ... Steve from Thursday night class is in the process of making his stereo cabinet. The art work was cut out on the CNC machine before Steve filled in his hard work with black resin... 11.01.2022 We are thrilled that Geoff and his MG are back tomorrow to make another surfboard with us... With over 60 years of surfing under his belt, Geoff made a board with us in November 2016 and after surfing up and down the east coast decided the time is right to make a new addition to his quiver . Geoff has long been a great supporter of Bywater Design and we are just so happy to be able to welcome him back to our workshop again

A beautiful box for a friend and including such beautiful splines on the corners, false bottom and floating top Wonderful work Sally !!

06.01.2022 A bonus "find" in the garage of their newly acquired home for our client resulted in a very charming addition to their kitchen . We revived this old workbench to good order taking pains to keep its authenticity and character marks . \With a new finish ( we applied several coats of resin then a satin coat for a waxy feel and lustre ) and the addition of sturdy castors for ease of movment this workbench is a beautiful example of rescuing a wonderful piece of the past and turning it into a remarkable new addition to the home !

06.01.2022 Last Weekend Stuart thoroughly enjoyed helping Steve create the Surfboard of his dreams aka the 8ft 6 Dawn with the gorgeous cedar panels. Steve made a beautiful board as shown and kept up the pace with Stuart whilst he made his own 9ft 9 Fish ... a design first ! We are keen to get these in the polishing booth so Steve will be able to take his pride and joy up to the Sunshine Coast... Our next Class in September (24- 27)inclusive is proving to be very popular with just one position left .. We cant wait to share the love

01.01.2022 We were thrilled to restore this antique inlay box for a wonderful client who will be passing this on to her grandson ... With inlay and mother of pearl features, this 100 yr + treasure box was carefully repaired and restored. We kept the original paper lining and sealed it under the new leather . Finished with a lacquer polish this piece is now ready for the next 100 years So much history and character
