21.01.2022 ***SNAKE ALERT*** We treated our first snakebite for the season earlier this week and have had plenty of reports of snakes being out and about. Please keep a close eye on your pets, especially considering the warm weather we have forecast.

13.01.2022 Bywong Community Association - Annual General Meeting Thursday 19th September 7:30pm at the Bywong Hall, Birriwa Road. Refreshments provided. The Bywong Community Association organises a number of events each year to bring the community together, including the Car Boot Sale, the Trivia Night and the Christmas Gathering. We also raise funds from the sale of local artwork (postcards and teatowels) and use these funds to benefit the community and to add to our local facilities, ...such as the amazing playground at the Bywong Hall. Bywong needs YOU! We are an enthusiastic group, but few in number, which limits our potential. So, if you have ideas and energy to help organise and participate in community activities, we invite you to join us! You can become a Member for free (form below), or can also join the Committee (form also below). If you would like to find out more, please email [email protected] , or just come along to the AGM. All Committee positions become vacant at the AGM. If you would like to join the Committee, please email [email protected] to nominate for a position.

06.01.2022 Just letting you all know that the Bywong Community Inc Fundraising Tea Towels are again available from Foodlovers. We are very grateful for their assistance with the sales (they are so community minded) as this helps our very small community Association raise funds to help us hold events and do great things for our community, like the Bywong playground, which Bungendore residents can also use! We are also indebted to John-Pierre from Bywong for donating his great artwork for... the tea towels. As they are bigger than before they are now $20 each
05.01.2022 We have changed the date of our AGM to September 19th. We hope we can have some new faces come along. The Association is looking for new ideas, energy and people to join, many hands make light work and some of our committee members (since it started 30+ years ago) need a break!! With over 900 adults in Bywong we ask if you can think about volunteering to be a part of the association for your community, many hands make light work. The 5-10 volunteers in recent years is not viable for the future, volunteer fatigue is real and more people make it easier on everyone. We have a survey coming out soon to find out more abut what events etc the community wants, but we need YOU to be a part of it as well.
05.01.2022 The Car Boot Sale previously set for Sun 22 March has been CANCELLED due to concerns over public gatherings.
