24.01.2022 CVISE is an active community group that is committed to promoting ice sports in Central Victoria. As part of the 2012 Bendigo Easter Festival, CVISE will be assembling a temporary synthetic skating rink in the Bendigo CBD for the enjoyment of local families and visitors to the region. The exposure provided by this event will be used to generate support for the construction of a multipurpose sporting facility, which will include a permanent ice rink, for the benefit of the w...ider Central Victorian community. We welcome support from local businesses and individuals alike. Should you wish to be a part of this exciting and unique experience, I will gladly send you a proposal for support. Thank you :)

17.01.2022 Happy New Year every one. We are pleased to announce that we have again received funding to participate in this year's Easter Gala Parade. We have a basic theme for our entry, keeping to the official theme of the parade which is "Embrace Your Senses." As the organiser of the parade committee, I am putting the call out for ideas, volunteers and a Ute with or without a trailer. Last year's entry was a wonderful success thanks in no small way to our band of merry helpers.... There will be a planning day on a weekend soon, date to be announced. If you are interested in helping out in anyway, or know of someone that would be keen, we need designers, painters, builders, supervisors and general hangers on. 15.01.2022 Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls. This is a general call out for assistance. Sunday the 11th of March will be a working bee day for the final design phase and the construction of the Easter Parade float. From 10am on Sunday, I will be working on the float. I will provide some bread and sausages to feed the (hopefully) hoard of helpers.... For anyone keen on starting a little earlier, no worries, just let me know. I might even make pancakes for you. We need the following: Paint brushes or rollers. I have 3 roller frames and 1 tray, Paint, blue, black, white. Yellow or gold I have some white paint. Artistic ability expansive or limited, it all works for me. If you have a cordless drill, fantastic. We will have another working bee on the 25th, hopefully to finish up. I will be working on Icey in the evenings to try and get him completed so I can be on hand on the working bee days. I am also calling out for people to walk in the parade, costumed or not. I have procured in kind assistance from the Bendigo Theatre Company in the form of costumes, so if you don’t have an outfit or gear, then I could arrange for something. You heard right. Ice Skating in the Mall. A 10m by 20 m synthetic outdoor rink will be coming to the mall for the community. When: Saturday April 7th till Sunday April 15th Hours: 10 am till 8 pm (9 pm if busy) ...
