24.01.2022 OK...whats wrong with this picture? apart from everything lol. The splitter on the front is a job in itself for a wrap.

22.01.2022 Thought I would put this up so that everyone knows about applying vinyl to under bonnet components. The biggest problem i get from customers is lifting. This isnt mainly the vinyls fault...Its the surface preparation or lack of it. Apart from the heat wich doesnt effect any of the vinyl that C.A.D. use for under bonnet overlays etc... The main problem is the plastic.... Most older cars have had a silicon based spray sprayed all over the engine bay at some stage and new cars ...have new plastic that bleeds a similar chemical that basically causes the same problem...Lifting. So how to get around this problem? Remove the plastic part if possible and spray with "Prepsol" (You can get this in a spray can) It was mainly used for preping undercoat on any respray to get off any grease or wax left from dirty hands and such before the base colour went down. These days its more commonly know as Wax and Grease remover. Spray the plastic part and leave for a moment and then wipe off...leaving it in the sun to heat up...this will cause the plastic to bleed out more of the silicon...repeat about 3 times. Normally this process will take at least 5=6 hours so start in the morning and finish about 2 in the afternoon when the sun is at the hottest. You should notice the plastic will have a dry dull look and sometimes a greyer colour. This means that the chemical has bled out...Dont worry...you can put more "Shiny " stuff back on once the decal has adhered. If you dont clean all the silicon type film off the decal will surely not adhere to the plastic properly and once you get your under bonnet temp up the first time you will notice wrinkles in the vinyl. The Haze you get on the inside of your windscreen is caused by the same chemicals bleeding out when the sun hits the dash and it floats up and covers your windscreen. The end of the tip of the day!!! Hope it helps some of you guys See more

17.01.2022 Various decals/overlays and stone chip guards

15.01.2022 For those that have asked, this is the best video i have found that shows how to apply side graphics the best way. It also apply's to windscreen banners wich is what i get asked about the most, however it is best to use a wet app method wich is simply wetting the adhesive side of the vinyl and paint work (windscreen) with a very fine mist. It makes it easier to correct any mistakes. You can purchase 3M app mist from places like supercheap but you can make your own...I sometimes use a mix of plain tap water and about half a teaspoon of Linx or similar shower gel. Just make sure the vinyl decal you have doesnt have a water based adhesive as the wet app method will breakdown the adhesive. http://youtu.be/d0j5xD7LEPY

13.01.2022 This is a rather sad post as this is a decal that one of the members (and a friend of mine) of Club CJ Mephisto69 (John) wanted done...However...John sadly passed away the day after he sent me the email. My thoughts and prayers go out to his Wife and kids. The Kanji meaning of the decal is "The Spirit Of Competition" the Mitsubishi Ralliart slogan. He, and his Lightening Blue CJ Sportback will be missed.
