Building recognition of the personal, social & economic effects of Obesity & Obesity related diseases. Changing entrenched attitudes. Independently evaluating the treatments &/or methods in able to determine what works & what doesn't work in order to assist our members. Investigating, researching & showcasing the best science on how & why Obesity occurs, so it provides a base for effective community response & government funding. We will highlight current knowledge of Obesity, drawing on a wealth of scientific & medical knowledge, based on research & case studies reviewed by the leading edge experts in their field from both around Australia & abroad. Creating a pathway for the 66% of our population who are "Overweight & Obese" to confidently seek the professional help they need & want, without fear of discrimination. Providing assistance in sourcing appropriate medical & everyday essential equipment, clothing & furniture in order to function in their home environment. Working towards establishing a Specialised Obesity Treatment & Prevention Centre of Excellence, offering Medical, Psychological, Physiological & Nutritional assistance under one united umbrella. Establishing & growing a network of healthcare professionals, pharmaceuticals, medical suppliers, fitness & Nutritional pioneers & fellow charities. Essentially putting together The A Team to combat this highly stigmatised condition, making a positive impact on society & attracting corporate sponsorship with the long-term vision of establishing nationwide "Obesity Treatment Centres of Excellence." Coordinated Obesity Advocacy & Carers Help Incorporated has been co-founded by Andre Nasr (Australia's Heaviest Man) & is served by a Board who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their respective fields. We tend to ignore our bo...dy’s signals of hunger and satiety (satisfaction) until we’ve eaten too much and are overfull. Many people say they rarely feel hungry. Learn to recognize how it feels to be ‘peckish’, ‘hungry’, ‘ravenous’, or ‘satisfied’, ‘full’ and ‘stuffed’. Perhaps imagine your stomach as a petrol tank with a gauge and aim for somewhere between a quarter and half full.
