25.01.2022 Just got done with an awesome commission piece of these two amazingly colourful rosella species. On the left is a Pale-headed Rosella (Platycercus adscitus) and on the right, a Northern Rosella (Platycercus venustus). The beautiful piece of Tuart Pine that the painting sits on was supplied by Ugly Duckling Timber Co. and was sealed using a natural beeswax sealant. If you’d like a painting for yourself, feel free to message the page for more information.

16.01.2022 Happy Wrens-day to everyone! Stoked with how the colours and detail in this little 15x16cm Superb Fairy Wren turned out. I also tried something new with the branch by adding some texture to it and it came out alright. ... He’s available for purchase as with the Honeyeater, just message the page for more info. See more

06.01.2022 The Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) is one of 5 Kookaburra species and is native to Eastern Australia. It was introduced to the South West Region of Western Australia in 1896. Just finished up with this commission and I’m super happy with how it’s turned out. I love the pattern of the wood and how it compliments the colours of the Kookaburra. If you or someone you know would like a painting, contact me about organising a commission piece or purchasing one that I’v...e already completed. #art #nature #natural #woodpaintings #paint #artwork #ChrisOBrienArts #birds #birdsofinstagram #naturaltimber #kookaburra #bohostyle #bohodecor #nativeaustralianbirds #nativeaustralia
