It costs an average of $7,000 to help each koala helping to fund a range of critical care from transport, x-rays, ultrasounds, bloods and more. The koalas that make it to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital often have burnt feet, singed fur and are suffering from dehydration. The original campaign was to help a Koala named Blaze who's injuries were too severe to be helped.
