15.01.2022 A huge accomplishment for both of these girls! Our EP @robynerica and friend @travel_junkie_92 completed their first ever 10km this weekend at the GC marathon running for @bond_physio_fundraising - Achievement unlocked! Next up... a half marathon!?

15.01.2022 Exercise can be hard, especially when it comes to finding the motivation or time in an already massively long day. Anyone that knows me, knows my days are currently about 16 hours long with my Doctor of Physiotherapy and then running C2M. It can be extremely hard to do a workout at 9pm or 4:30am on top of this . I try and take my workouts and movement outside as much as I possibly can; it is way more rewarding hiking up a mountain then climbing a stair climber . This ye...ar I have put an extra focus on my exercise and being consistent - yes I feel stronger and my clothes fit better but the biggest thing that it has helped with is my mental health and daily energy. Problems are way easier to tackle, I sleep better and can think clearer. Tips I standby to keep myself motivated are: 1. Be consistent - do something to make you move every day - even if it is a small ten minute bout! (Normally youll find these ten minute bouts start to grow into larger amounts of time easily quite quickly) 2. Learn self discipline - if you have committed to doing something for yourself, you need to get up and do it for yourself. 3. Be kind to yourself - some days it doesnt work out and we dont achieve our goals. If we are too hard on ourselves we are less likely to pursue similar goals in the future. 4. Every bit counts - as mentioned above of ten minutes is all you have, great! Try and squeeze in another ten minutes later in the day or after work! - Robyn McArthur, Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Director of C2M

13.01.2022 Today kicks off the start of EXERCISE RIGHT WEEK 2020 and this statement couldnt be more true. . . The problem for a lot of people is not knowing the correct prescription for their body and/or condition. Exercise doesnt have to make you hurt and shouldnt stress you out! Prescription of exercise is specific to each and every individual. .... . Checking in or contacting your local exercise professional may be the best medicine you take all year! See more

07.01.2022 The reasons I exercise are constantly changing. Through the years I have exercised to learn new skills, push myself to the limit, find things that scare me, to fix injuries, to help my mental health, to get stronger, run further and get a little more toned. One thing that has never changed is that I do this for me and my future! Exercise is a lifetime commitment and will help me to combat the ageing process. I recently hiked up Mt Larcom and the most inspiring part was the couple whom were in their 60s sitting together at the peak! I can only hope I am able to keep it up much like them! - Dean Todd, Student Exercise Physiologist and Strength and Conditioning Coach for C2M

07.01.2022 Well that went fast! Lachlan was supposed to do his 12 week placement with us in semester one but due to COVID it was cancelled after his first couple days. We then fit his placement into 4 very intense weeks and he worked very hard to keep up on some very long days. Congratulations on finishing your placement with us Lachlan! We wish you all the best in the future and hope to see you again sometime. Great work

06.01.2022 In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.... We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. - John McCrae Lest we forget.

02.01.2022 There are so many reasons why I try to move my body every day. Not only does it help me stay well on track with my personal & fitness goals but its also incredibly therapeutic for my mental health too. Im happiest when Im out climbing mountains but equally love getting my sweat on at the gym, going for a run or even taking it to the closest indoor rock climbing centre. As much as I love exercising, there does come days when its not as easy as others. Tips I standby to k...eep myself motivated are: 1. I give myself variety so I dont get bored of doing the same activities. 2. I remind myself how good I feel after moving my body 3. I think whatever way I move my body, its benefitting my body in multiple ways. - Dana Harper, Student Exercise Physiologist and Strength and Conditioning coach for C2M
