21.01.2022 Accuracy is the goal and it looks so good. Chamfered edges used to create a shadow line and make these sheets of ply pop.

20.01.2022 Great big deck here, what a treat it is to have clients that give you creative liberty. Fun little board direction transition here. Minimal additional effort in the framing process resulted in this flowing effect. What a pleasure.

18.01.2022 Pour day tomorrow. Wish me luck

17.01.2022 Did a custom shelving unit over the weekend. No visible fasteners, biscuit joined timbers to get the width of materials and the owners got to do some DIY with the sanding and staining! Fun for all.

16.01.2022 Old set-up in action.

16.01.2022 It was fun and games getting these double glazed, double hung, hardwood windows in by my self on an 1864 blue stone homestead; but with a bit of resourcefulness I managed just fine. 5 windows all up, transported and installed with no mishaps. It was a good few days.

15.01.2022 Bespoke stringer beam staircase for a lovely client. First one I've undertaken and turned out a treat. Bit of time spent on this one but hard work pays off.

14.01.2022 Back from our trip to Japan where we made wonderful friends and had a most excellent time. Happy to be back home in Australia exploring this beautiful landscape before getting back to building dreams! Stay tuned for some information on past projects. Should you need any carpentry services please feel free to contact us.

14.01.2022 Handrails getting started, templates were right and the final products were ever righterer. Stay tuned for the big finish of this bespoke stair project.

13.01.2022 Loving my new @diamondback.toolbelts rig. Double mazo and the slingshot pouch makes a nice tight bit of kit.

12.01.2022 French cleat mounted for easy removal, this mantle piece isn't going anywhere.

11.01.2022 Bit of an update on projects down at Cape Patterson while working with TS Constructions. Worked on a ply ceiling that turned out very nice. Did an interesting deck with allowance for an outdoor burning pit and last but not least WeatherTex installation. Looking forward to more of this wonderful weather we've been getting! P.S. I selected the photos after writing the text above, the fella in the pictures is Tom. Tom's pretty good at this carpentry stuff.

11.01.2022 Frame to finish external cladding of a tiny house. Solo installation is certainly impractical but a fun challenge all the same. Check out the internals in my post.

11.01.2022 New van! New built in! So much time can be saved with the right built in, achieving organisation and convenient access as well as additional security. As an added bonus, when everything has its own spot you'll know when something is missing. Here are just a few photos of the build so far with more to come once it's all finished

10.01.2022 Made Emily a lame, its heart shaped. Meant to be anyways.

09.01.2022 Tiny house going up for sale, feel free to contact me for further information.

09.01.2022 Can you believe this is the back of a Suzuki Jimny? Little game of Tetris at the end of the day and no one would guess you're a chippy.

05.01.2022 Quick little pergola using reclaimed trusses.

04.01.2022 Quick and easy temporary stairs.

03.01.2022 Parts of the internal process. First tiny build but finishing up for a pleasing and functional result. Happily livable.

01.01.2022 Concrete stairs I did in Canada, will endeavour to track down photos of the delightfully involved three stage forming process. Approached the stair and landing portion of this project with a two stage pour involving monolithic pours in order to halve the necessary materials and man hours constructing the formwork. We formed and poured the curb in order to have a fixed point to work off locating and securing the riser forms. Skipping every other set of stairs and landing, resulted in minimal distance to move the formwork. Handrails were custom made off site and installed separately from my work. This project was another first for me but came up a treat.
