22.01.2022 The Gurrbum Field Day was a success. The rain held off and everybody got to put some plants into the ground. The photos here were taken by Valerie Boll...a big thank you Valerie! The cassowary cake cutting was done by Chloe Brachna, attended by Christina Cork from Queensland Trust For Nature and C4 President Peter Rowles.



20.01.2022 The family of four who have been crossing Tully Mission Beach road at the roundabout by Woolies early in the morning recently. Please be alert. They are pictured here feeding on fallen fruits on the farm side of the creek just meters south of the roundabout.

14.01.2022 Keep an eye out for a young brown cassowary moving around and through the area at McNamara & Dickenson streets. It isn't afraid of humans as it will walk up to you which would suggest someone is doing the wrong thing and feeding it. Thanks to Geoff Stapley for the photos.
