22.01.2022 The laughs are still echoing around Cabanda Care's corridors after the Deer Hunt. Residents of the Lodge had a wonderful time and staff said it was one of the year's highlights seeing and hearing the genuine smiles and laughter... afterall, isn't that the best medicine?

21.01.2022 This morning at Cabanda Care within Covid-19 restrictions, we will remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. LEST WE FORGET.
21.01.2022 Clients and volunteers from Cabanda Care's Social Group answered the call from Ipswich Hospice to make draw string bags for family members to take home personal effects from their loved ones. Clients love the opportunity to give back to the community and this time was no different with them rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done. With the help of our dedicated Volunteer Shona Brown, almost 20 bags were made and donated to Hospice Care Ipswich with more in the pipe... line. Social group will gladly take donations of fabric to keep the clients and volunteers sewing. Please call 54 642 642 if you can help.
19.01.2022 Last week, Cabanda Care's Social Group held its annual Christmas Party with entertainment on the day provided by Terry Waters. During the party the Christmas Raffle was also drawn. A special thanks goes out to all the people who supported Social Group through 2020 and we look forward to many more adventures in 2021.
19.01.2022 Last week, the Lodge at Cabanda Care held the 2020 Christmas Party. While the year has been, to say the least a challenge, our residents were all full of smiles when Santa arrived and spent a few hours with them.
19.01.2022 Over the past few days we have been sharing he lovely photographs of our residents who have received 'home-made' flowers made with lots of love by the children who attend the Rosewood Kindergarten. These flowers had been especially made to celebrate Grandparents Day, which sadly is a lot different this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. Let's all hope for a much better 2021!
18.01.2022 Cabanda Care’s Social Group couldn’t let Halloween go by without having some fun. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we had to run a few sessions, and clients had a great time. During the program we told the history of Halloween and played the Haunted House video as well as Spooky Bingo! Plus, there were lots of quizzes, trivia and plenty of craft work too with the typical witches hat, broom and hanging bats strung up around The Link.

17.01.2022 Cabanda Care's Social Group had an interesting visit recently' travelling just a few hundred metres down John Street to the new Rosewood Library. The library is so modern; complete with digital library, movies, music, has a remarkable history section and yes, they even have books! Our clients really enjoyed the visit and we are sure it won't be the last visit to the Rosewood Library.
16.01.2022 Late last week, Esme and Chester Wyatt celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary. On behalf of everyone at Cabanda Care, we would like to wish Esme and Chester all the very best for their special day. We were very appreciative of the beautiful flowers that were generously donated to Cabanda Care and made good use of the gift by making a special arrangement for the Wyatt’s anniversary and a lovely bouquet for some of our residents.

07.01.2022 One of the staff here at Cabanda Care is looking after an orphaned 'kid' and some of our residents just fell in love with her. Affectionally known as Betty, she follows her 'mum' around the ground floor and has quickly become a favourite friend of everyone.

04.01.2022 The old saying is very true... you learn something new everyday! And that applies to our clients who came along to Cabanda Care's Social Group recently, One of the new 'life' skills learnt was the gentle art of Flower Arranging. Apart for having a lot of fun, these beautiful arrangements will be used as Lucky Door Prizes at our client's Christmas Party.
