22.01.2022 Over the last two weeks we have been celebrating Book week by sharing our favourite books. Book week is a wonderful opportunity for the children to think about and celebrate books and reading. Through fun and exiting activities we aim to ignite a passion for reading at a young age. At preschool we are always introducing the children to a wide range of stories, songs, poems and texts.

21.01.2022 We have enjoyed celebrating Harmony Day this week. We have had the talented Shy come in to teach us all about Indian dancing, stories and food.

21.01.2022 Woolworths shop for your school is running from May 1 - June 25. Support us by collecting earn & learn stickers and returning them to our preschool. Encourage your family and friends to collect the stickers too!



21.01.2022 Today we were excited to take part in the ALIA National Simultaneous Storytime. Both classes joined together to enjoy this years story "Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas". This was a wonderful opportunity to promote Australian story books and to encourage more young Australians to read and enjoy books.

19.01.2022 Thank you to all the families who supported our fundraising bake sale for the farmers. We raised over $720 which Coles will now match! This was a fantastic effort and shows what a caring and supporting community we belong to.

18.01.2022 The children have enjoyed helping us collect our earn and learn stickers - this has also been a wonderful opportunity to develop fine motor skills and engage in some maths and counting. If you still have any stickers to bring in, please make sure they get to the preschool by Tuesday July 2nd as we need to count them all and claim them by the end of term. Thanks for your ongoing support.



18.01.2022 We are currently enrolling four year old children for our 2020 classes. If you have a child born before July 31st, 2016 and would like them to attend our preschool in 2020 please contact us so we can add them to our waiting list.

18.01.2022 This week we were lucky to have the wonderful Bronwyn Vaughan come in to perform for us. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience some dramatic storytelling and it was truly captivating

17.01.2022 Today Peter Morgan Music 4 Children came to visit the children to share his musical talent using multiple instruments, his Maori culture and teach hello in different languages! Kia Ora Peter and Tena Rawa atu Koe! Can't wait for the rest of the children to hear your awesome stories and music this Friday!

15.01.2022 We were excited to celebrate the end of term with one of our favourite events - our international feast. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to try some new foods and celebrate the diverse backgrounds and culture of our families and community. Thank you to all the families who provided so many delicious dishes for us to share.



14.01.2022 The children were excited to return for term 3 and discover that the garden gnomes had been busy during the holidays. A big thank you to Andrew and the team from cultivar gardens for the wonderful job they have done on reviving our front gardens. It is wonderful to be part of a community that supports one another. Thanks also go to the department of education and Canada bay council for donating grant funding towards this much needed upgrade to our preschool outside learning environment.

14.01.2022 Last week all our classes headed off on an excursion to the Powerhouse Museum. It was a wonderful adventure and the children all enjoyed experimenting and discovering together. A big thank you to all our parent helpers who came along and made the excursions such a success.

13.01.2022 We had a fabulous end to the term with the children participating in a preschool rideathon. This was a great opportunity to reinforce road rules and safety, get active and have some fun whilst raising additional funds for our preschool kitchen upgrade. Thank you to all the family members who came along to help out and cheer us on.

12.01.2022 What better way to celebrate the end of term than an international feast. Thank you to all our families who supplied us with a wonderful array of foods from their cultural backgrounds. It was a great opportunity for the children to share their culture, try new foods and of course have fun with their classmates and teachers. We wish all our families a safe and enjoyable holiday break and we look forward to seeing you back for Term 3 starting from Monday July 22

07.01.2022 Happy International Woman's Day! ... Today we read the book "This Girl Can!" by Cori Brooke which discussed the many different professions women can accomplish their dreams in! "You can be anything, your future is free."

06.01.2022 It has been a very busy start to Term 3 with lots of exciting experiences. So far we have learned about Aboriginal culture with Peta, got warm and cozy for Pyjama Day and had a wonderful excursion to the Powerhouse Museum

05.01.2022 We are so excited that our new classroom furniture has finally arrived - what a difference some new chairs and tables has made to the look and feel of our classrooms. We also have some new outdoor equipment that is a bit more challenging and the children are loving the opportunity to extend themselves further when climbing.

05.01.2022 Wishing all our Dads, Grandads and special men a fantastic fathers day. We look forward to you sharing some time with your child and joining us for a special morning tea this coming Tuesday and Friday. Dont forget to wear your favourite footy colours!

04.01.2022 Dont forget that we are currently collecting gifts for homeless or poor children of Thailand through the Qantas Cabin Crew Team. We are seeking donations of gifts such as new pencil cases, pencils, crayons, drawing paper and other stationary, lollies, snacks, teddy bears, hair accessories, barbies, small toys and basic reading books for kindergarten age. (Please no guns or battery operated toys). Please make sure that any donations are brought in to the preschool before October 31st. Thank you for continuing to show what a generous community we have.

04.01.2022 Our Farmer Bake Sale is underway. Remember to bring some spare change for some delicious treats!

04.01.2022 Dont forget to keep bringing in your Woolworths Earn and Learn stickers so that we can trade them for some new toys and equipment. All stickers need to be brought into the preschool by July 1st. Make sure you get your family and friends to give you their stickers too

03.01.2022 Thank you to all the special ladies who joined us for our pink morning teas this week. We enjoyed spending some time with you at preschool and raised over $250 for the fight against breast cancer.

02.01.2022 A big thank you to Dr. Jeremy and Nurse Gaby from Mortlake Family Medical Practice who came to visit us at preschool this week. This was a wonderful opportunity to reinforce messages about health and promote the childrens ability to take increasing responsibility for self-help and basic health routines. It also helps the children to learn more about those in the community who help and care for us.
