24.01.2022 Since posting about August 30th we have had the Public Health officer ring and is checking further about her advise to us , so we will keep planning to open and see what she comes back with, unfortunately the people who are suppose to know , DONT

18.01.2022 Just remind permanents or casuals who have booked , but cant make it please notify us 0n 0490 012 999 that you cant come then we can use the site

18.01.2022 OK so far so good , although no ones quite sure how these latest events with the detention centre is going to play out , it appears that people in the lock down areas can still travel and the person restriction doesnt apply to Toowoomba areas, Also we no longer have an ATM as they have pulled out of our market , so I would encourge marketees to look at mobile phone card reader systems for banking and if you dont know how to do it ask your grandkids .

17.01.2022 I have been checking with other markets and State Government departments and we have come to the conclusion that we can not start the markets till the Government increase numbers permitted as our Markets have at least 250 persons with stalls and shoppers can be 3 times that . June is 20 persons 10 July only 100 persons and no decision has been made by the State Government after that , so we will have to wait and see what numbers are allowed for August , September or if numbe...rs are changed earlier. We realise some markets are open but not sure how they can do it under the current COVID -19 plan.So in summary we are still monitoring the situation and as soon as persons allowed reaches a workable number we will open again.Thank you for your continues support ans all stay safe. I was told by Government Dept we come under Zoo's apparently , seems appropriate dont you think Zoos and wildlife centres Limited to 20 people at a time and must comply with the additional conditions provided in paragraph 24 below.

16.01.2022 Well the market is underway and good attendance , who knows what will happen between now and the next one on the 27th of September

16.01.2022 Well only a fortnight till the market and so far everything is gearing up OK just remember each stall should have an A4 sign reminding people of the social distancing rules and a small bottle of hand wash on there table , if you know of any other marketeers that arent on FB please let them know . Stay safe

12.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone for there attendance of the markets on Sunday and of course the Farmers Arms with there Car Show , Marketeers have reported good sales . It has come to our attention that someone was going around saying this was the last market , THIS IS NOT TRUE we are trying to have the full range of these markets , but of that depends on unknown further covid 19 out breaks.

10.01.2022 OK everyone due to the government not knowing there own legislation and hold ups with other stuff , we have decided to try for August markets and give July a miss , I know some will be disappointed as we are , but we still feel we have a duty of care to the public and our marketees. We will contunue to have discussions with the powers that be to get a definitive answer , so watch this space.

09.01.2022 This is the part that is keeping us closed , I dont know how some other markets are opening with this restriction in place Gathering of up to 20 people at indoor cinemas, open homes and auctions, outdoor amusement parks, tourism experiences, zoos and arcades, concert venues, theatres, arenas, auditoriums and stadiums

06.01.2022 Lately there has been quite a lot of questions about dogs at the markets , while we have signs saying no dogs allowed we have not enforced it, must with the increase in dogs coming to the markets and some leads tripping other patrons etc we will have to enforce it due to health regulations and our insurance, we are all dog lovers , but please leave your buddy at home

04.01.2022 The South Westerlies are blowing in hard today across SEQLD & NENSW. These winds are gusting to around 40-60km/h for most areas and locally stronger gusts acros...s elevated terrain. Winds are expected to remain elevated throughout the day before easing back after sunset tonight. Thanks to the winds, 12c at Toowoomba currently feels more like 3c, 20c at Bris AP feels more like 9, 15c at Oakey feels more like 5c, 7c at Armidale feels more like -4c... but spare a thought for the Alps, Thredbo dropped to -8c early this morning and had a wind chill of -22c! 02.01.2022 Just a rehash on requirement for tomorrow, A few stipulations NO PERSON is to attend the market if they have a cough, cold or other Flu like symptoms have recently been in Victoria or other hot spots. or just got back from overseas. 1.
