03.01.2022 An experimental restoration. I had a pair of Wassily chairs in poor condition. I used the good leather from one chair to repair the seat of the other and reconditioned the frame. The result is this new/old contrast - beautiful wear, now with double saddle leather in the seat contrasting with a smooth satin black frame which emphasises line and form.
