16.01.2022 Cruising around Maria Island on the Spirit of Maria with East Coast Cruises. Wednesday 9th January, 2019 I had the sheer delight to be invited by Mike, Meg and the East Coast Cruises Team on the Spirit of Maria with the Circumnavigation Tour of Maria Island. Both my dear friend from South Australia Melody and I had such a wonderful day. This experience is something that will stay with us always. From Start to finish Mike and Meg were truly wonderful. They took care of... everything right down to a spare jacket and some wrist bands for me as the move of the ocean can make me a little queasy. Mike was a real world book of knowledge with both the History of the area and the Geology of the rock and fossil formations we had the great fortune in seeing. This style of tour is really special as you cannot possibly see anything like this unless you travel by boat around Maria Island. The day was totally catered for with a scrumptious lunch full of Tasmanian goodies like delicious Ashgrove Cheese. The home make lemon slice was great. This is a trip I would highly recommend a must for your bucket list. If you would like to add this to your itinerary upon your arrival in Triabunna please ask us so we can book the trip for you. 09.01.2022 During your stay in Triabunna why not include a short drive to Old Hobart Town in Richmond. I loved the drive as it was about 1 hour and the cafes were just great for lunch.
