You can also edit the dimensions, change their size and colour to make the dimensions much cleaner and easier to understand. 22.01.2022 Tip of the Week: Floor Multi Cabinet Did you know? The underutilised Floor Multi Cabinet is similar to the Universal Cabinet with customisable sections of the cabinet. But unlike the more comprehensive Universal Cabinet, the Floor Multi Cabinet is much easier to use.... First, select the number of divisions you want your Floor Multi Cabinet to have. These divisions are referred to as Area 1, Area 2, etc. Next, simply choose from our standard configurations for each area, as seen in the image above. If you want to view the standard configuration settings, just double-click on the configuration option you are using. These basic settings include selecting drawer runner types and inputting area offsets. Once you have made your required changes, click "OK" to apply these changes. Once you select a standard configuration, new pages will appear on the bottom of the cabinet menu. Here you can make more detailed adjustments to each area of the Floor Multi Cabinet, including materials, hardware, rails and more. To learn more about the Floor Multi Cabinet, watch our video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-XCN0A184I

18.01.2022 Tip of the Week: Format Dimension Labels On every dimension line you use, a label is placed along it showing details about that line/angle/leader. These labels can show a range of different items such as units, decimals, notations etc. For example, the label on a 688.5mm dimension could simply just display "688.5", or it could include a leading notation, such as a "W", have a different colour, be placed on an angle or even include a trailing "mm", as per this image.... However, you can easily change this to show a different number of decimal places or fractions and can also choose extra details. We do this by using the label details in combination with a format string, which is a special text code containing formatting information. For more information, have a read through our HowTo document found in our Knowledge Base via this link! https://support.cabmastersoftware.com//formatting-dimensio Also, the next release of CabMaster Premium (Build 40) will include an Angle Dimension tool, a Radial Dimension tool and a leader notation. These new tools will greatly assist in detailing CabMaster drawings in the future.

07.01.2022 Tip of the Week: Shadow Rails - Drawing Properties Explained Shadow rails are a fixed rail above doors and drawers, which allow the consumer to open a cabinet without the use of a handle. They are mounted to the carcass of the cabinet rather than the top of the doors or drawers. Shadow rails can be altered in drawing properties to best suit your requirements. ... The settings used to make changes to the shadow rails are explained in our HowTo, which you can find here: https://support.cabmastersoftware.com//shadow-rails-drawin Alternatively you can watch our YouTube video found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyKZ6V4rivo Please feel free to contact CabMaster Support should you have any questions or would like assistance navigating shadow rails in your program.

06.01.2022 Tip of the Week: Insert Unused Based Ons Following last week's tip, we have heard from many of you that you can't find the Floor Multi Cabinet in your library - this means it is likely turned off. To turn on the Floor Multi Cabinet in your library, there are two methods depending on what software package you have.... For all customers who have Designer Pro and above, you can turn on individual cabinets including the Floor Multi Cabinet in your Library Catalog Manager (LCM), as seen in image 1. To do this, simply right-click somewhere in the list of cabinets in your LCM and then choose "Insert Unused Based Ons" and select which unused based ons you would like to insert. Please ensure at this stage that any cabinets that have been added to the LCM list have been ticked on the left-hand side, as seen in image 2. For all other customers who use the Premium library, it is as easy as going to the Prepare menu and choosing "Insert Unused Based Ons", as seen in image 3. This method will activate all unused based ons in your library. Did you miss last week's tip? Don't stress!
