23.01.2022 Firstly, he's safe now. Secondly, dogs are surrendered to pounds, given away on Gumtree or simply dumped every day of the year. People fall in love with a wriggly, naughty puppy that makes them laugh and bring them home. They don’t put effort into training it because it’s too cute to discipline or training takes too long and soon that puppy is outside by itself 24 hours a day. Nobody is laughing now, least of all the sad, lonely dog wondering what has changed. Nothing has ch...anged except that it has gotten older and bigger. Soon it will be time to approach a rescue like ours with the explanation that we just don’t have time to give them the life that they deserve. Or maybe they could give it away on Gumtree, ignoring the probability that the dog will be passed on by those owners to or end up in a dog fighting ring. Sometimes people just take their dog for a drive, remove their collar and then drive away. Speeding up as the dog tries to follow the car. The same people will conveniently forget what happened the next time they fall in love with a fat puppy and repeat the same process because it’ll be different this time. No, it won’t. Dogs are for life so if you can’t commit that long, don’t get one.

22.01.2022 MAKE SOME SPACE IN YOUR HOME The Caboolture and district animal welfare shop is in need of furniture in good condition for our Caboolture shop. There is no need for you to load the trailer because we have volunteers who will come and take it away at no cost if it is deemed suitable for sale. The Caboolture and district animal welfare shop is thankful to the community for their generous donations in the past and present. Thanks Debbie.

01.01.2022 Please read carefully pets are for life, cute as puppies a nuisance when they get older. I didn't have time to train him, he's okay in the back yard on his own. I work 6 days a week, I need time for me on Sundays. Think twice before you get a cute puppy they grow up.
