25.01.2022 Weve been here for you since 1987 creating Champion Boxers and more importantly Champion people. Our boxers have travelled the world in amateur and professional with great success. With the Stage 3 Easing of Restrictions allowing sparring and partner work we will once again be able to run as a fully functioning boxing gym with a high focus on skill work. Training is currently 5:30pm - 7:00pm with extra classes to be added soon. 25.01.2022 Futures camp at the gym today with Australian Futures Coach Jamie Pittman, we were also lucky enough to have World ranked professional boxer Dennis Hogan along, giving up his time to talk his amateur and professional career and what it takes to be a champion.

We tried to match Antonio & Reesha for the fights at Rumours International for Smithys City vs Country with no one wanting to fight them. Xavier with a great win made the night special.

Using the fields, steps, hills and gym we were able to accommodate everyone in our normal session - love seeing generations training together and seeing the younger boxers learning from the more experienced boxers. 22.01.2022 Had a visit tonight from Nik the nightmare Taumafai to check the gym out with his son Evander. So many memories, started training at 16 and went on to turn professional in the 90s winning his first title in his 2nd fight for the Queensland Super Middle Weight Title with a KO win in Round 9, next fight was for the Middle Weight Queensland Title winning by KO in Round 10, then dropped down to Junior Middle Weight winning the Queensland Title by KO in Round 4. 3 Queensland Professional Titles in 7 fights equaling Graham Dickers record by simultaneously holding 3 Queensland Titles. Photo of tonight and of his 1999 bout in Medan, Indonesia beating the champ in his home town (and causing a riot) with a KO in the 6th Round of a 12 Round PABA Title Fight. Love you Nik, anyone who fought The Nightmare was in a war to the end

21.01.2022 Great friend and true gentleman Normie Stevens called in for a catch-up. We were the only 2 from Queensland that won at the first ever Australian Junior Champio...nships 45 years ago in 1975 in Blacktown, NSW. Still remember every moment of that trip, we had no idea what we were in for, first flight for me and away from my coach. Love and respect forever. Photos are me and Normie today and me in 1975 with my coach Barry Parnell after I arrived home.

19.01.2022 Unfortunately the bout everyone had been so keen to see didn’t eventuate, after 6 months hard work, moving up a weight division and his eyes set firmly on the World Championships Antonio made his weight easily but his opponent couldn’t make the weight limit giving Antonio the 69kg Queensland Title by walkover. One step closer to the World Youth Championships next year.

This is Stage 2 so we are limited to 20 people, which includes coaches so we will need you to advise us of what days you will be training. As there are new requirements well be having a meeting at the gym at 5:30pm on Monday the 8th of June to advise you of whats happening and what youll need to bring to the gym. See you there.

13.01.2022 Following the Australian Governments guidelines The Caboolture Boxing Club gym will be closed from Monday the 23rd of March until further notice. We will be back bigger and better than ever and in the meantime we encourage you to keep each other motivated using your messenger group, post your workouts and keep fit and healthy while following all social distancing rules (remember you can still run). We realise this is a challenging and stressful time for everyone, please contact me if you want to talk about guidance for your home fitness or anything at all. 02.01.2022 Congratulations to Brock Jarvis on his latest win in the professionals. Just a few years ago he boxed at the Golden Gloves as a Youth against our own Tarron Walker who was a Junior at the time as Brock’s opponent had pulled out. The time-keeper ran the bout over 3x3 minute rounds with Tarron the victor, what a great experience and memory.
