But they can’...t do that if they don’t hear know what is important to us. And what we want them to do about it. So ... it's time to talk to your local MP. Awesome Please read on and connect me with their parent/guardian if appropriate: - - - Over the past 12 months I've been collaborating with a brilliant innovator who has created this world-first mobility system, built just for fun. It turns out that most Australian families with a wheelchair user miss out on fun stuff like going to the beach or just into the bush, because the NDIS classifies these as 'non-essential' activities and therefore rejects more than 80% of all funding applications. Needless to say, there are millions of families worldwide who don't even have access to an amazing program like the NDIS either! As the father of a wheelchair user, David thought this wasn't really good enough, so he's spent the past few years redesigning the idea of a wheelchair from the ground up, with our first product finally ready to roll in time for Summer - 100% covered under the NDIS Automatic Signoff limit of $1500, meaning THOUSANDS OF AUSSIES CAN HAVE A GREAT OUTDOOR CHRISTMAS FOR ABSOLUTELY ZERO COST! As you can see from these photos, I've done my best to showcase the Adult unit on our local beach and my kids are dying to have a turn in the smaller version but I'd really love to capture the experiences of some young people who may have never had access to a beach wheelchair as part of our media and promo packs ahead of November launch. I'm more than happy to pay and / or ensure your kids are some of the first in the world to get one of these badboys if they'd like one, but we just need some photos of it being used in the wild so people can see how damn fun it is! 10.01.2022 This needs to be put out to the whole of the disabled community, disability organisations, independent contractors and all advocacy organisations and feedback b...ack to the government and the NDIA around the process that is going to fail everybody on the NDIS and wanting to gain access to the NDIS. This story below will show that the role of the independent assessor is not there to assist the individual with a disability but to shorten their ability to access community to develop new skills.
