24.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020 - What a busy week we have had here at the EYP! Families who have attended our programs this week have been given the opportunity to participate in planting our Bush Tucker gardens. With plants from the Friends Of Lagoon Creek nursery, we were able to fill our garden beds with a variety of native edible plants including Native Mulberry and Apple Berry. This experience opened conversations around the country we live on, cultural traditions and our native plants and animals.

22.01.2022 SILK WORMS AT PRE-KINDY - The families at our Caboolture pre-kindy program have been lucky enough to watch our silk worms go through their different stages of life! At the start of term, we had caterpillars. Over the past few weeks, silk cocoons were spun, moths emerged and have already laid more eggs, ready for more caterpillars on join us. In this quick video, you can also get a glimpse into the life of a silk worm!



21.01.2022 COOKING WITH TRACEY - As the end of the school year approaches and we all are busy preparing for Christmas, it can be tricky to think of different ideas for the school lunch boxes. Tracey has a simple recipe for Pizza Scrolls that the kids are sure to love! You can use the ingredients that Tracey is going to show you, or you can create your own combination!

21.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK 2020 - Across the week, families have gathered together as we celebrate NAIDOC Week. Families have been involved in tree planting, craft activities, musical experiences and story times. Our banner with our families handprints has visited our Caboolture, Morayfield, Burpengary and Woodford programs. Families have shared stories and gained knowledge. These photos are just a small snapshot of our experiences this week. We want to thank all of you for joining us and celebrating NAIDOC Week 2020.

With some other special ingredients, this dish is easy to prepare in only one pan! Do you have a favourite recipe you like to cook for the family at home? We would love to know!



13.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK 2020 - If you have been attending one of our Early Years Place programs either last week or this week, chances are you have seen one of our NAIDOC Week banners in circulation, as we fill the spaces with handprints from our families and staff. Thank you to everyone who has contributed. Our banners are getting their final touches, almost ready for NAIDOC Week, next week! We are looking forward to sharing the final piece with you all.

12.01.2022 PRE-KINDY - Are you thinking of booking your child in for one of our Pre-Kindy programs in 2021? Here’s a sneak peek of some of the fun activities on offer! Pre-Kindy is an enrolled program for children and families. 2021 Pre-kindy will be for children born between 1/7/17 - 30/6/18 who reside in the old Caboolture Shire catchment area. The program is free for parents and children to attend. The program is facilitated across our Caboolture, Morayfield, Burpengary and Woodford sites. If you haven’t already, you can phone reception on 5428 1477 to complete an expression of interest. Places will be offered to families at the end of this year.

12.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK 2020 - NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Using a clean, recycled bottle, you can create your own bottle at home, by following the steps on each picture, below. Try shining a torch on your bottle, at night, to watch the colours moving around the room, as you settle in for bed.
