24.01.2022 Wow 1 year today! Congratulations and Happy, Happy Birthday to Dossie, Charlie, Oscar, Bailey, Maisie, Odyss, Chico, Bruce, Luther and Noxy. Hope you all have a wonderful day and are truly spoilt. Although I know you all have beautiful families that love you so much you are truly spoilt every day xx Haha trying to get them to sit while I take a photo

24.01.2022 Starting to look like dogs now, rather than hairy worms! Becoming more playful by the day.

23.01.2022 1 week the pups look like wobbly bears too cute for words. Keisha what an amazing mumma bear xx Pups have gained weight and are healthy, noisy and super beautiful.

22.01.2022 Keisha feeding puppies, all eyes are open. Puppies waddling around a little unsteady on feet hehe. Video of feed time and the fight for nipples this morning ...

21.01.2022 Mum and daughter enjoying some quiet time together ...

21.01.2022 The pups are just starting to get their teeth and are exercising them on each other! They all look beautifully healthy and are becoming more playful by the day. They all seem to have inherited a bit of Keisha's calm nature and seem to like human contact.

21.01.2022 Keisha and Noxy playing together. Keisha gently chattering away as they play, teaching little Noxy ... whilst we are a bit sleep deprived ...

20.01.2022 And then there were two ...

20.01.2022 Ahhh, the beautiful sound of silence After lunch a play with rope toys, empty plastic bottles and balls. Even tho' there is the gentle fall of rain, providing a cleansing for plants, showers for birds and water for the dams the puppies have space to play outside under the pergola. Such a magic gft, both the rain and the puppies! The puppies are pretty well behaved, but on occasion a fun rumble emerges with growls, squeals and other weird sounds.

19.01.2022 Little ones trying out their vocal cords.

19.01.2022 Keisha has had a few further visits to vets and has been very sick. On a much brighter note the pups are doing well and Keisha appears on the mend. A few sleepless nights. Pups had their first taste of puppy porridge yesterday, so funny, then spent ages eating it off each others paws and other spots. They are experimenting with lapping water and how to stand and drink. Paper down to encourage toilet training!

19.01.2022 Puppies after dinner having a little play with Mum. Some are too tired and are well and truly ready for bed. Yesterday was a big day vaccinations, microchipping and health check with the vet. Tuesday week and they will be 8 weeks and ready to move in with their adopted families...

13.01.2022 A friend posted this today. Definitely something to be aware of. I do not use peanut butter but others might. I will try and organize a Keusha's puppies play date for February. :)

12.01.2022 I hope the Cacao Canidae family are keeping healthy and happy. How lovely to have a lab to keep us company and for some of us even luckier to have two! I will definitely organise a catch up after this has passed. Not the best photos but this is Keisha, Noxy and Bruce. Bruce has the collar on and was one of the three big puppies at birth. Bruce is 37kgs!!! ... Keisha and Noxy were very happy to catch up with him. So much love xx

12.01.2022 Puppies wondering if Mum will pop in again and give them another feed of milk! They are playing post their solids feed at breakfast. not such a great shot of Keisha feeding as she was lifting her leg to escape! too slow camera girl hehe

12.01.2022 The pup are learning to come when called from calling them to feed. They are on three meals a day now and should be weaned in the next couple of weeks. There are a huge range of sizes, ranging from 1630g to 2720g with most somewhere in the middle. All are looking healthy and happy.

11.01.2022 The pups are now on semi solid food - or should I say IN semi sold food!

10.01.2022 Would love to see some 12 week old puppy photos :) Noxy, so adorable, cuddly and inquisitive. So much love for these two and all her litter mates

10.01.2022 Been a while, Noxy checking out what is happening. Feeling like it may well be time to organise a Cacao Canidae puppy gathering at a central location? Anyone keen? x

09.01.2022 bitter sweet saying farewell to 4 puppies yesterday. They have settled well into their new homes. Two I have heard from had a good nights sleep. The others are rampaging and enjoying their balls, rawhide and toys many of which are sticks and leaves. So blessed they have been such fun ...

09.01.2022 I have started researching vaccinations for puppies and dogs. In Australia we are over vaccinating our dogs and cats. Some of these animals end up with tumours at the site of injection. Vaccinations used to be annual. Since 2009 it has been recommended to vaccinate every third year. I have read that there is a test to check antibodies to determine whether your dog/cat needs a vaccination even at the third year especially if they do not get out much. Not likely with a Labrador..., too much fun going out :) Puppies need their 6-8 week and 10!-12 week vaccination and first 12 month booster. Have a great day x https://www.choice.com.au//pets/h/articles/pet-vaccination

06.01.2022 Photographs taken by wonderful Sofia of the puppies at 16 days young. Ti and Sofia have been a great help! They are super cute, some were wriggly, one wanted to walk off into the future, some asleep and others inquisitive. Love them all heaps.

05.01.2022 I have not checked the accuracy of the list of plants below. I have checked Yukkas and yes,, the saponins (soapy quality) can be toxic to dogs and other animals. We have had them in our yard and dogs are okay but may not want to risk it ...

04.01.2022 So beautiful, 1 week young

02.01.2022 If you are wanting to get away with your dogs then we highly recommend Woodstock Gully. We spent a week there with a couple of friends and three dogs, Keisha and Noxy being two of them. The dogs absolutely loved the walks and swims in the dam and duck pond. We did not tire of heading off to see a different section of the property, our favourites were the gully areas. Much of the 160 acre property is covered in parkland cleared Wandoo forest inhabited by kangaroos and prolific... bird life. Although there are areas as well. There is a really, cosy 3 bedroom cottage, electric blankets to warm the bed! No need for my hot water bottle. We played cards, read books, sat watching the fires and the scenery. There was no need to head anywhere else although Toodyay is only 20 minutes away. Everything is provided, bring your own food. We brought our own linen but I believe linen can be provided. Lucky Chico gets to spend many weekends here with his family Carol and Ross. They have kindly offered a discount rate to all Chico's brothers and sisters from Keisha's first litter. Woohoo.!! A big thank you to Chico's family. Below is a link with great photos and more information https://www.woodstockgully.com.au
