22.01.2022 Like all industries, there is a dark side to cacao production & farming. Being the plant that provides the worlds commercial chocolate, the production chain can be rife with corruption, extortion, slavery & abuse. In some parts of the world, farmers are often under-paid (if paid at all) and live at the mercy of big companies that have all the buying power, leaving families in poor living conditions with little food and ability to innovate the way they farm (Watch the c...acao episode on Rotten on Netflix for more). Our mission at Cacao Collective is to ensure that the HUMANITY & INTEGRITY of the plant & its farmers are the highest priority. We believe in keeping a strong connection along the entire production chain so that every one is cared for from Mother Earth to what lands in your cup. We are committed to maintaining an ethical ecosystem where we ALL can thrive. At the beginning of every production chain for any product are human beings, let's keep the connection and use our money to affirm brands that are doing their bit to support those who are often forgotten. 20.01.2022 We get so excited seeing all of you order this magic!!!

20.01.2022 What's all the hype about ceremonial cacao?! 3 ... - this is primarily why cacao is known as a heart medicine; theobromine acts as a cardiovascular stimulant (as opposed to a central nervous system stimulant), as well as as a vasodilator, giving cacao its 'heart opening effects' as this can aid blood flow in the arterial walls & the health of the vascular system. - unlike coffee which can promote large surges in central nervous system activity (e.g. anxiety, jitters & feeling scattered), cacao contains very little caffeine, leaving you feeling more in your body and less in your head. - the other half of the equation as to why cacao is so awesome for our hearts. Magnesium (among many things) helps relax our nervous system, particularly good for those who are prone to anxiety. Research shows magnesium deficiencies can attribute to heart arrhythmias & feelings of discomfort, making cacao a great addition to your daily nutritional needs.

19.01.2022 HOW CAN CACAO SUPPORT ME WHILST WEENING OFF COFFEE? We've had a few questions of late, so we thought we'd share it on the gram for those here who are trying to ween off the coffee (or reduce their intake), whether its because your adrenals need a rest or because youre simply just in a mindless drinking loop (weve been there ) - cacao is going to be your saving grace! Heres a few ways cacao can be really useful when it comes to reducing your coffee inta...ke (without the epic headaches that come with it ): We recommend gradually decreasing your daily / weekly coffee intake as opposed to going cold turkey !! This might look like replacing coffee number 2,3 or 4 with a cacao instead. Or it might look like having a coffee every other day with a cacao in between. We even add a little bit of coffee to our cacao when we want a little extra hit, which is delicious! Cacao is super supportive when reducing or weening off coffee because even though it still has small amounts of caffeine, it's only enough to give you that little hit without over-stimulating your nervous system. Cacao Collectives cacao paste also has high levels of theobromine (0.39/100g) which stimulates the cardiovascular system and gives you a beautiful boost in energy and mood, without the crash that coffee can deliver. - . . . . 16.01.2022 CACAO + ANXIETY For those of you who notice a sensitivity to coffee, or find that your anxiety gets worse when you drink it, one of the reasons for this is because the large amounts of caffeine in coffee stimulates the central nervous system. In one way, feelings of jitters and anxiety can be your nervous system and body telling you it is ready to fight or flee. If you are already under stress, excess caffeine can exacerbate this challenge.... The reason why cacao has been such a great switch for many who have given us feedback, is because this beautiful plant has a very low caffeine profile, high theobromine content (which stimulates the cardiovascular system) and is rich with magnesium, supporting the nervous system. This ultimately still supports focus, clarity and gives users an energy boost, without the jitters, stim-induced anxiety or crash. Want to give it a go and feel the difference for yourself? Head over to our website and grab a sample www.cacaocollective.com.au

15.01.2022 Winter Market Update (Perth, WA) We've got a couple of epic pop ups at the Scarborough Winter Markets from 3-8pm. We will be serving warm cacao and selling bags for you to take home. @ Scarborough Beach, Perth WA

15.01.2022 Why have so many people been changing from coffee to cacao?! As ex-coffee addicts ourselves, we know the stim-cycle can be a BIG hindrance. We actually never intended to convert to cacao only as we still love coffee to this day, however what we get from drinking cacao is pretty remarkable. So heres the thing, coffee is amazing. We can agree on that right? ... Coffee is an incredible plant and drink in its own right, however, as so many people are leading busy, fast-paced lives, already feeling the pressure of having to wear ALLL the hats in daily life, the burnout is REAL. In todays society, our poor bodies cop a beating and overdoing it on the coffee can add to it. Which is WHY cacao has become an amazing, yet restorative add-in to the daily routine. Due to its high levels of Theobromine, rather than stimulating the nervous system, cacao predominantly stimulates the cardio-vascular system, lifting your mood & energy for an extended period of time, without the dreaded crash that our beloved caffeine provides. It also housed two other super-hero bioactive compounds called PEA (phenylethylamine) and anandamide which also contribute to a lifted mood, improved focus. Cacao is a great support for working, athletic performance, meditating & being creative. So if youre someone who needs to cut down the coffee, you want to switch it up OR you simply need to cut down the 7+ coffees a day, cacao can be your best friend. Cheers to feeling lifted without the crash! See more

15.01.2022 ( ) ? Let us explain the difference. Many people go with what's on the store shelves - in the form of dried cacao (or cocoa) powder. ... What most dont know is that cacao powder is a treated form of pure cacao paste (what we sell) - it is stripped of a lot of it's powerful bioactive & euphoric compounds like anandamide, phenylethylamine, along with other highly nutritious vitamins, minerals, enzymes & anti-oxidants. If you are buying cacao/cocoa powder - you are buying the defatted, nutrient and energy void version of cacao designed for the tongue. Cacao powder is for taste, not for nutrition. Unfortunately because of its heating and pressing process, we miss all the amazing benefits that cacao has to offer! Every person we know who switches from cacao/cocoa powder to ceremonial grade cacao paste instantly feels the difference and realises that it is well worth the higher price tag. as the age old saying goes: .

15.01.2022 Over 50% of tickets SOLD We are so excited to meet you all, make sure you don't miss out on this epic event!

14.01.2022 ?! Well, here's something you may not have known: ... Ceremonial grade cacao is extremely high in powerful bioactive compounds such as theobromine, phenylethylamine & . (Ananda translating to bliss in Sanskrit) . This beautiful molecule is what makes users of cacao feel blissful, or what feels like a mood-booster (the same molecule that often gives runners the runners high). It is an endogenous (meaning from within the body) cannabinoid found in the brain, and acts as a neurotransmitter that targets the same brain structure as THC (tetrahydrocannabinol from cannabis). Not only can cacao be an amazing mood-booster, it can also (potentially) modulate the perception of pain for those that suffer from acute levels of discomfort. ?

14.01.2022 Our favourite cacao paste comes in an easy option: ready-to-go Is it a powder? No. Is it the same product as the OG chunky? Yes. ... In every bag of ready-to-go you will find your cacao goodness pre-chopped for your convenience so you can take it from spoon to cup without any extra fuss. 12.01.2022 Heres a picture of one of the families that farm the cacao that becomes the paste we sell to you. We received this pic the other day and it honestly made us light up. One of our highest values is souring ethically and ensuring we are not adding to the exploitation and adulteration of a sought after plant. Our cacao is sourced in Peru, and farmed in small communities throughout Satipo & Tarapoto.... Our cacao source has been UTZ fair trade certified and when you purchase our cacao you are helping to improve the living conditions of these farming communities, along with funding a % of their education and a % of the organic fertilisers and materials they require to harvest this beautiful plant. We wanted to take this moment to honour and give thanks to all families who farm this product and to all of you who have purchased our cacao and helped in this mission of creating a sustainable production chain where ALL parties win. 12.01.2022 Weekend heart medicine. Ceremonial cacao is said to have heart-opening effects on those who drink it. This is due to 2 main factors: 1. Ceremonial cacao contains 3 potent bioactive compounds: theobromine, anandamide & phenylethylamine. ... is a gentle, long-lasting cardiovascular stimulant found exclusively in cacao. It is what gives us that lift in mood, energy and that heart-open feel. It's also highly beneficial for keeping our heart and cardiac tissue healthy. (translating to bliss in Sanskrit) is known as the bliss molecule. It is an endogenous (meaning from within the body) cannabinoid found in the brain, and acts as a neurotransmitter that targets us in the same way THC (found in cannabis) does. This is what contributes to the relaxed and blissful state cacao can put us in. (PEA) occurs naturally in our bodies and stimulates different happiness hormones, comparable to when we fall in love or have sex - this is what can act as natures own antidepressant! 2. The Theobroma Cacao tree is said to be a feminine plant with a feminine spirit. The spirit of cacao works through cacao and delivers her medicine of receivership, opening, softening, welcoming in love, compassion, presence and gratitude. How can you let the medicine of cacao support you today?

10.01.2022 ? Ceremonial is a standard of Cacao which should aim to meet the following criteria: ... The cacao should be grown using sustainable growing practices. Promotes favourable conditions for the farmers and their families. The cacao should preferably be a criollo (native) bean as used traditionally by Mesoamerican cultures. The county of origin should be in the geographical area of harvest (Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru). Being a sacred plant, the spiritual energy of the bean starts with the cultivation of the pod and Positive energy being present from the cacao plant to the final product. Store-bought Cocoa / cacao powder is often adulterated, processed, stripped of vital minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, fat soluble vitamins and has lost its traditional use through mass production. , .

10.01.2022 There's a reason we love on our own brand all the time!!! 5 & : 1 - & Our lives can be go-go-go; cacao invites us to slow down, pause, breathe intentionally & bring our state into coherence, safety, pleasure & allowing. It can assist us with being more present in each moment. ... 2 ; cacao is a heart-opener, mood enhancer, and overall blissful plant medicine. Cacao asks us to open to possibility, to connection, to intimacy; with yourself or another. We recommend serving some cacao in bed next time youre looking to connect more intimately with your lover. 3 ; have you ever tried meditation or breathwork after drinking cacao?... It's incredible!!! Cacao has a way of enhancing experiences. Try a cacao before going on a hike, going on a date, doing some work or getting creative! 08.01.2022 WHY NOT JUST USE POWDERED CACAO? We get this question A LOT! So we thought we'd share a bit more insight on the matter Many people go with what's on the store shelves - in the form of dried cacao powder. ... What most dont realise, is that cacao powder is a treated and adulterated form of pure cacao paste (what we sell) - it is stripped of a lot of it's powerful psychoactive & euphoric compounds like anandamide, phenylethylamine, along with other highly nutritious vitamins, minerals, enzymes & anti-oxidants. Cocoa powder goes through a process known as pressing; this puts the cacao under immense pressure, super-heating it and separating the cacao butter from the "cake." The butter, or healthy fat of the cacao bean (50-60% of bean volume) is generally sold off to pharmaceutical, food & cosmetics companies. If you are buying cocoa powder - you are buying the defatted, nutrient and energy void version of cacao designed for the tongue and miss all the amazing benefits that cacao has to offer! Every person we know who switches from cocoa powder to ceremonial grade cacao paste instantly feels the difference and realises instantly that it is well worth the higher price tag. as the age old saying goes: . 08.01.2022 WHAT SWEETENER SHOULD I PUT WITH MY CACAO? We get asked this quite a bit and the simplest answer would be: whatever you like! However there are some sweeteners we recommend over others if you're looking for the best tasting combo and smoothest drinking experience. ... Raw organic honey - this our personal favourite, especially Jarrah honey as the flavour is rich and like caramel Date syrup - a perfect alternative for the vagans out there or for those who have an allergy to honey. The flavour pairs beautifully with our cacao. Coconut sugar - a brilliant alternative to either of the above which we recommend over normal brown/white sugar. : - Stevia or any natural sugar free alternatives. - Agave nectar - Maple syrup The amount truly depends on your preference. 08.01.2022 Hey fam! We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has recently followed, purchased or engaged with us here on our page. We see you! ... It’s been a while since we introduced ourselves - we are a couple duo who started @cacao_collective_au because we have experienced first hand the magic and benefit of ceremonial cacao and wanted to share it with as many people as possible. This brand started organically after ordering in bulk as we were going through soooo much cacao ourselves and decided it was time to make it more cost effective. We stumbled across the most incredible organically farmed, ethically sourced ceremonial cacao (which is found in all of our pouches today). After being ex stimulant addicts, cacao became a game changer for implementing a healthier option to take part in our morning routine. (This picture pretty much sums us up every morning) One of our biggest intentions with this brand is to ensure that this sacred plant is never extorted and always respected. This is why a % of every kg sold is returned to the farming families and communities to support them. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

06.01.2022 Today’s Mantra ~ A reminder that you have permission to change, to evolve, to choose differently or change your mind. In these moments, we take time to sit with ourselves, a cup of cacao and a journal to figure it out. ... Tag a friend who needs to be reminded of this today

06.01.2022 WHERE FOOD & SUSTAINABILITY COME TOGETHER We believe in giving more than we take. Giving more to the earth. ... Giving more to the farmers. Ensuring that the chain from beginning to end is supported. There is a lot of corruption that goes on in the chocolate industry, where large corporations undermine and extort the disenfranchised farmers, forcing them to submit to awful work & pay conditions. At @cacao_collective we aim to be part of the solution for fair, conscious & sustainable consumerism. picture taken of one of our farmers in Peru.

05.01.2022 Can’t start a Sunday without one just look at that gorgeous frothy top! Happy Sunday cacao fam

05.01.2022 Ceremonial cacao is known as a plant medicine for the spiritual and energetic properties that she possesses. However, cacao is not just a spirit medicine, but a medicine for the body as well, in particular, the brain & heart. It's multitude of minerals, vitamins, antioxidants (flavonoids) and bioactive compounds (phenylethylamine, anandamide & theobromine) are what make this drink so damn good for us! ... Due to the abundance of flavonoids, cacao helps dilate blood vessels, relaxing the vascular tree, thereby allowing blood to flow more freely around the body, putting less pressure on the heart (studies repeatedly show positive benefits for lowering blood pressure). Phenylethylamine (PEA) also found in cacao, is a powerful molecule that acts as a neurotransmitter (neuro referring to the brain). It supports the secretion of dopamine which is associated with memory & learning, attentiveness, feelings of pleasure & reward. Making cacao a regular part of your daily routine is a surefire way to support your health today and in the future!

04.01.2022 Today we honour all womxn of the world in all shapes, sizes, colours, ethnicities, orientations & cultures. Your patience, courage, nurture, love, softness, tenderness, fierceness, discernment, resilience, compassion, passion, expression & power does not go unnoticed. We also honour the great Mother herself - Gaia Earth mother, for all that she provides for us. ...

04.01.2022 ! Are you a sucker for chocolate? Is it your cryptonite and something you crave all the time? ... This could be your body's way of asking for magnesium ... Which ceremonial cacao has an abundance of. It could also be due to your body craving more serotonin (our playful neurotransmitter) as cacao is abundant in triptofan (precursor for serotonin synthesis) and anadamide, the bliss molecule. Even though our mind might be craving chocolate, what we may need is all the things that cacao can provide in it's raw form. The chocolate on the shelves might be your go-to, however many products that are found in the supermarket have been stripped of their valuable nutrients, bioactive compounds & cacaos energetic properties. If you're someone who is addicted to chocolate, we recommend you give this beautiful plant medicine a go and see what changes for you.
