01.01.2022 Introducing our latest hybrid from our Supersweet breeding program.. 'CFA Supersweet 'Gold' ' ... 540 gms self fertile self pollinated BRIX 25 ...the sweetest Dragonfruit we have ever eaten. VERY flavoursome as well. A truly superb tasting fruit. 'Supersweet 'Gold'' is a Selenocereus megalanthus x Hylocereus purpusii hybrid with most of it's siblings producing purple fleshed fruit. Fruit harvested today in mid Winter with average minimum temps of 2c this past week... The ...vines are not irrigated or fertilized so the fruit would be even bigger & sweeter if watered, fertilized, hand pollinated & Summer fruit. This is the 2nd fruiting of this seedling... the first fruits ripened in April with brix 26.5. The flavor of this fruit is superb ! We will be planting out a row of these in Spring... only the one small vine which we are cutting up for orchard stock plants... Click on pics to see full pic..
