At 11pm on September 15th, the president gives his famous grito (shout) from the National Palace in Mexico City; where at least half a million people crowd in to the zcalo (main plaza) for the party. Buildings & landmarks are draped or lit up in the national colours, red, white & green all over the country as its citizens celebrate Independence Day Sounds fun hey?! If you dont make it to the zcalo in time for 11pm tonight, head to Palm Cove for some Mexican food, beers & cocktails instead, & follow up with your own after party next door at Espy Bar Palm Cove!
