06.01.2022 Junior at Clarendon this morning. Poor time management on his riders part today resulting in zero time to warm up so I retired about 2 mins into my test. Thought I’d just give it a go even with the sub par preparation this morning but he just wasn’t ready and neither was I. Wouldn’t have been fair to ask any more of him! Despite the lack of warm up he was so well behaved and cooperative - can’t ask for anything more than that! Kicking myself a bit for dropping the b...all especially considering we had two great lessons with Jacqui @dressage_coach this past week and Junior was feeling super - but that will teach me to be more organised! Regardless of what we achieved today (read: nothing ) it was so great to be out on Junior again. The work in our lessons this week means we are on the right track with our training at home - looking forward to showcasing that more successfully (i.e riding a WHOLE test) next year! (Oh and huge thanks to @ohwowbee for getting up at the crack of dawn to drive and meet me at Clarendon only for me to ride for maybe 15 mins and then call it a day.
