15.01.2022 Dear patients referrers & friends, It has been a challenging few weeks for all of us. All of us are experiencing the impact of COVID-19 in some or the other way. Things we thought were a necessity, or took for granted a few months ago, are a luxury now. As healthcare workers we encounter a whole set of different challenges . Some of those involve shortage of correct Personal Protective Equipment to safeguard us and you ,as we treat you .We also have had to grapple with a lot ...of moral and ethical dilemmas.Despite of our best intentions we may or may not be able to offer elective general or local anaesthetic dental surgery. Rightly so, the hospitals are needed for treatment of more urgent conditions. We will try our best to alleviate your pain and address your concerns in the interim. Our patient’s and staff’s safety is our prime concern in this evolving pandemic. We are constantly updating our working environment to make sure that we look after you and us in the best possible way. Please find below some information about how we will be carrying out treatment over next few weeks. We will be constantly updating our practice based on the directives from Department of Health and the state and federal government. Look after yourself and those who can do with a helping hand.Stay safe and stay strong. We are in this together.

01.01.2022 Victoria is under stage 4 restrictions and that has led to additional changes in the way we offer care to our patients. In accordance with the advice given by DHHS & ADA we have implemented these changes to ensure your and our safety at CADS . Triaging your symptoms and treatment needs ... over phone. Organising a Teleconsult with our surgeons. We will collate all the information needed from you and your referrer before the appointment is booked. Offering intermediate and/or immediate care based on the urgency of your symptoms which may include offering you an appointment under local anaesthetic based on Tele consult. For patients who are triaged as urgent and unable to proceed with Tele consult they will be offered an in person consultation. We will be asking you some COVID-19 related screening questions when we make the appointment and again when you present to the clinic as per the DHHS advice. We may ask you to wait in the car park and call us before presenting. We have been requesting all patients to wear a mask when they present and wait. We will continue to conduct temperature checks when you present to the surgery and request you to use hand sanitiser. There are masks available if you forget to bring one. To limit the people in the clinic we request for any accompanying person to wait in the car park unless absolutely necessary. Our clinicians follow strict protocols for PPE and infection control. They will offer you care and advice based on existing restrictions from governing bodies of dentists and dental specialists. Please provide as much detail as you can during your triage with our reception staff. If you are not well before your scheduled appointment at CADS please seek medical advice from your GP. Our staff will offer you alternative appointment or a phone consult with our clinicians to address your dental symptoms in the best possible way . Stay safe and look after yourself and others . We are in this together
