24.01.2022 What a beautiful rainy day on the mountain. Our plants in the garden are loving the rain. Every single plant that can possibly flower has a second go after the rain. Come in and enjoy this explosion of life. Our special this weekend Greek platter with lemon and oregano chicken skewers, grilled haloumi, tzatziki greek style salad and chips.

22.01.2022 Dear valued customers, Today and tomorrow our kitchen will stay cold. Due to very hot weather and a high bushfire risk in our community I decided to close the kitchen for the next two days. As I have to be at the cafe for receiving deliveries and paper work both mornings, the coffee machine will be on from 10 oclock on and there will be snacks and cakes available. Thanks for your understanding.

21.01.2022 Invited for Christmas and dont know what to bring along. We can help you. Offering grazing platter boxes to bring along. $15 per person. For example a grazing player box for four people would cost you $60 We have three different versions available. Antipasti with sliced meats, vegetarian or dessert and fruit grazing box. There will be only high quality items in each box. For example, artisan cheeses, artisan crackers and pastes, antipasti, olives, berries, fruits and nuts, Serrano ham and Italian salamis and homemade dips in the normal grazing platter box. Vegetarian version will have more cheese and antipasti. You can pre order by the 22nd for a pickup on the 23rd or 24th. We can make gift boxes too. Pralines, wine, artisan food. Just let us know about your preferences. We also can deliver to mount nebo or mount glorious.

19.01.2022 Due to popular demand we will be holding another fine dining event at the Cafe. This coming Friday the 14th (Valentines Day) will be the night. Traditionally an evening of couples, candle light and intimate dining, we would like to offer a slightly different slant on the Valentines Theme, with group bookings welcomed and an orphans table for all the singles who would like to treat themselves to a fine night out. Naturally, we will still provide an intimate dining space for a...ll the lovebirds out there. 17.01.2022 Coronavirus, social distancing and hospitality. Caf in the mountains will continue to trade as usual but we will have some precautions in place for the time of this crisis. We already use food grade sanitizer on all our equipment and surfaces as this is a standard procedure in food businesses but also started sanitising table numbers, menus, tables, chairs and items like toys for the kids or the toilet key frequently. We are a team of very responsible human beings and non...e of us would have to or even want to work if feeling sick. We all wash our hands regularly especially after handling cash. As we still depend on our daily income we decided to continue trading but would ask all of our customers to follow some simple steps, to make sure that we all stay safe and healthy. 1. if possible use payWave or card payment as we would like to reduce cash handling to a minimum 2. as we have plenty of outdoor seating we would like to encourage you to sit outside to be able to keep the 1-1.5 m distance recommended by the WHO Also fresh air and sunlight is healthy and will make your immune system stronger 3. we do have take away options 4. if you have to stand in line because it is busy please remember to keep distance to the person in front of you 5. if you feel sick or symptomatic please stand in line at a testing centre and not in a restaurant We are all in this together but try to live our lives as normal as possible. We might have not all our menu items available during this crisis as it is already quite difficult to get our usual products. 15.01.2022 Dear valued customers, Caf in the mountains will introduce a weekly closing day during the summer period. We will be closed every Tuesday until further notice. On a positive note we will have a new menu available next week. Our locals are already excited. :)

14.01.2022 We finally found a LOCAL coffee roaster and will have our very own house blend available at Cafe in the mountains. We use a medium dark roast and will have beans for you to purchase at the cafe. The beans this roaster uses are directly sourced from farmers around the world and has a direct trade certificate. We will re-open the back deck ( beautiful view) for you on Saturday the 16/05. Due to logistical reasons you will only be able to dine in if you book a table with us. We have a german potato soup special today and have been busy in the kitchen baking scones, rhubarb meringue cake, gluten free chocolate and cherry cake, gluten free carrot cake and banana pear bread.
