23.01.2022 #savethedate Our next Cafe Church is to be held on Sunday 15 September 2019 at 10 am ... Cafe Church follows a delightfully informal and friendly format that is just right for all age groups, including our Messy Church and faith-seeking Playgroup families. All are warmly welcomed to come share in faith, food and friendship with our congregation. A bring and share meal will follow the Cafe Church service on Sunday 15 September at the Drouin Uniting Church Hall.

23.01.2022 FYI: Drouin's local ecumenical "The Crossing" is now provisioning very low cost pre-prepared meals for local families. I have attached the relevant link if anyone may find themselves in need of such a service in these uncertain times. Warm regards, Annie, Drouin Uniting Church Elder... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2094309897369253&id=100003707905834

23.01.2022 All things Italy with much camaraderie and order-in pizzas tonight. It was our monthly Friendship Dinner, with Jan and Alan taking us on an anecdotal journey through Italy illustrated with Jan's stunning photographs. Thanks U2! ... Bella!!

22.01.2022 Sharing the link to this morning's service from St Andrews Berwick Uniting Church led by Andrea Mayes whom I came to know through theological studies at Pilgrim TC. An encouraging, positive sermon. (Annie Hardham, Drouin UC Elder) https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2740580239589903&id=1691293157806399

21.01.2022 Sharing Worship at Home from Hampton Uniting Church and led by the Rev Anneke Oppewal, Pastoral Care, Port Phillip Presbytery. Click on the link below to listen to Rev Oppewal as she brings the lectionary lens of Moses, leadership, and the trials of the people in the Wilderness as a means of reflecting upon our lives in the Covid-19 pandemic (Annie Hardham, DUC Elder)... https://hamptonunitingchurch.wixsite.com/hampton-uca

20.01.2022 Sharing the YouTube Holy Communion Worship Service from the Central Bendigo UCA Cluster for those who may be missing partaking in the Eucharist during the pandemic. When you participate take the bread and wine as it is blessed by the presiding Minister during the service (You shall need to prepare your own bread and wine\grape juice before you commence the service). 19.01.2022 #savethedate Sunday 7 July 2019 at 10 am ... Sharing faith and table fellowship. You are warmly welcomed. A bring and share meal follows our Cafe Church service this Sunday at Drouin Uniting Church Hall. "Come as you are, feel quite at home close to my heart, loved and forgiven come as you are, why stand alone?"

19.01.2022 The After Church Trip today found a small group of us lunching at Macca's, then travelling to Darnum to attend a Swing Jazz Concert featuring The Swing Revival Quartet The concert featured music composed and performed in years past by such musicians as Glen Miller, Count Basie, The Ink Spots, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, the Gershwin's, Irving Berlin plus many other notables, and today impeccably performed by the Quartet. A very enjoyable way to spend Sunday afternoon.

13.01.2022 Sharing this positive way we knitters can contribute towards stewarding the need for urgent climate change action. You will need 16 individual balls of colour, so, unless you already have several of the required colours in your stash of left-overs, it can be a tad expensive. Spotlight online had several of the 8 ply colours on special at $2.50 each this past week - a big saving! Our participation in this Climate Action initiative is something we can do easily at home whilst we sit out the coronavirus, filling our time constructively with the joy of being able to responsibly steward God's good Creation. (Annie Hardham, Church Elder). https://www.commongrace.org.au/knit_for_climate_action

13.01.2022 We had a wonderfully festive Cafe Church today, with a message focused around "The 12 Gifts of Christmas": Music, Anticipation, Joy, Laughter, Sharing, Giving-of-our-Very-Best, Festive Spirits, Shelter, Peace, God's Promise, Christmas Time, and the Christ Child. Both Edna and Jennie (two of our nonagenerians) looked the most festive of any of us. We lit four Advent Candles today - peace, joy, hope, and love.

13.01.2022 Revisited this clip from 4 months ago after reading a Pilgrim Theological College correspondence this morning...sung for all the pandemic healthcare workers... Grace and peace, Annie Hardham Elder, Drouin Uniting Church https://youtu.be/TascsWZPj8U

12.01.2022 #cafechurchjoy Lots of conversation and enjoyment at Cafe Church today

10.01.2022 Friendship, food and fun - some more Italian night cameos

08.01.2022 A chill Sunday morning was warmed by the Christian friendship of our cafe church community today. Those who gathered heard, and engaged with, a deeply reflective meditation led by Rev Peter concerning John's resurrection account regarding the doubt of Thomas. There was much for us to ponder, Thomas' natural sceptism proving part of a readily identifiable 'seeing is believing' human response. ... Worship was enriched by the presence of many beautiful flowers, much music, singing and even some psalm composing. We then partook of a delicious bring and share luncheon, warmed by the presence of the Spirit as well as by the sharing of generously prepared food.

07.01.2022 For our Cafe Church family this morning...a great theological unpacking of an often misunderstood Matthean text. Context informs. Really worth listening into Worship at St Andrew Berwick UC today https://www.facebook.com/StAndrewsBerwickUnitingChurch/videos/705192926729652/
