22.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, I hope everyone is safe and healthy. I know its been vary hard for people when movement restrictions are in place, however it is for the safety of all. I am still not sure when we can open as restrictions have not been lifted for the cafe. I can only hope its soon and only when considered safe for people in general. 21.01.2022 Hey all cafe FB friends and visitors, just a reminder that over the Oz Day long week end the cafe will trade 8am to 2pm daily. This will happen whenever a PH falls on the Friday or Monday. Cheers: Jenny

20.01.2022 Jenny has for sale at the cafe a large selection on DVD's and VHS movies. These range from Kids, Action, Family, TV shows, Musicals. DVD's are $2.00 each and VHS Tapes are $1.00 each. Any in boxed sets just multiply the DVD or the VHS Tape to obtain the total price Example: 4 DVD's in a boxed set with be $8.00. These are from a deceased estate.

20.01.2022 Happy Monday every one, I hope you are all safe and healthy. Due to the easing up of restrictions, the cafe will open next Saturday 23/5 from 8am to 2pm. I have reduced the hours for the first week or so to monitor the trade and keep costs down where possible. the social distancing is in place and I cant have any more that 10 people in the cafe at any given time. I will also have a service window for those just ordering coffee or for take away meals. a table will be set up so... you know where you can pick up your order. you can phone your orders through on 6760 5020. It will be great to see all our regular customers again and any new ones that want to take advantage of our re-opening. NOTE: SUNDAY 24/5 DUE TO ESSENTIAL ENERGY PLANNING MAINTENANCE WE WILL NOT HAVE POWER UNTIL APPROX. 10.30AM SO WE WILL OPEN FROM 11AM TO 4PM. I hope to see you all soon. 19.01.2022 CHANGE TO TRADING HOURS ON MONDAY 23/12 AND TUESDAY 24/12.: Due to the passing of Jenny's mother on Wed 18/12, Jenny will be leaving for Sydney on Monday for the funeral on Tuesday. Tammy, Barbara and Shayne will run the cafe in Jenny's absence. The cafe will re open on 2/1/2020.

17.01.2022 Good Morning, Happy Sunday to all. Just an update for this week. From tomorrow 1/6, we will increase the allowance of people on the cafe property to 20. Although the government says 50, we don't have that space available while still maintaining social distancing. Our trading hours will still be 8am to 2pm this week. 16.01.2022 Cafe on Gate St update: Thursday 26/3 8.30am. At this point in time, Jenny does not think she will open tomorrow or over the weekend. Jenny is trying to do everything to keep the cafe operating as best as possible, however the income is not covering the operating costs at present and Jenny can understand people are staying at home as requested by the authorities and limiting all unnecessary travel. 15.01.2022 Good afternoon, Jenny has decided to change the trading hours of the Cafe over the weekends. As of tomorrow the cafe will trade from 8am to 2pm. Apologies for the late notice as the intense heat is limiting the number of customers, so to contain costs Jenny had had to make this change.

12.01.2022 Jenny would like to remind all of her valued customers of the weekend trading hours for the café. The café closes at 2pm every weekend, Jenny would also like to advise the Christmas / New Year closure dates. THE CAFE WILL CLOSE AT 4PM ON WED 23/12 AND WILL RE-OPEN ON MONDAY 4/1/2021 AT 8AM. 11.01.2022 Fire Fighters calling in at the Cafe on Gate St to enjoy their free coffee before heading back out to keep us all safe, again many thanks to Antilles Coffee for coming on board with Jenny to give back in a small way to these great people.

10.01.2022 Good Morning, After my last post about the new regulations that came into force on the 25/7, we have a visit from the NSW police to ensure we were compliant. At that time we had not set up the scanning system that is recommended, however this has now been put in place with a company know as MyGuestList. We have a QR code located on a laminated sheet both before you enter the cafe, plus just inside the cafe door, plus on the counter where you place you orders. The police highl...y recommend this way of checking in by way of your smart phone. This take about 2 mins to do and then every time you come in after that initial set up its even quicker to scan and submit your visit details. If you don't have a smart phone, we have available a sign in sheet inside the front door. These completed pages are collected daily and scanned onto a thumb drive and kept securely off site in case we have to hand these details to the health dept. (LETS HOPE THIS NEVER HAPPENS). 09.01.2022 CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR TRADING HOURS: The cafe will close at 2pm on the 24/12 and reopen on the 2/1/2020. Jenny and staff would like to wish everyone a Merry and Safe Christmas and they hope to see you back in January 2020.

07.01.2022 Good Morning everyone on this wet Sunday 26/7/2020. At midday yesterday we received an email from the NSW Governments chief health office outling the new restrictions for cafe and those in the hospitality industry have to follow that came into effect at midnight Friday 24/7/2020. Jenny is posting these on the cafe facebook page so that all of the cafes customers are aware of what is required when entering the cafe to dine inside or to pick up a take away order. Jenny request...s all customers adhere to the following guidelines so that she is not fined or close down should the health dept or police make a visit as they have done so in recent months. 1/ All people entering the business to make a purchase or deliver goods must sign in. No exception. The sign in page is at the counter. If you are dining in, then the staff will bring the sign in sheet to your table and every person must sign in. This is for safety purposes and a requirement so that Jenny can keep trading. 2/ Any person who is showing signs of a cold or flu should not enter the premises. However that does not stop them from placing an order over the phone on 6760 5020 and Jenny will have that ready for pick up at the agreed time. Payment can be made through the pick up window and contactless payment is preferred for this transaction (Card payment) Ideally the person who is not well should not be the person picking up the takeaway order. 3/ Jenny has for the past few months reduced to number of seating spaces in the cafe to fall in line with Social Distancing recommendations. When its not raining there is additional table and chairs out in the front of the cafe. 4/ Sanitiser is located inside the front door should be used by all customers when entering the cafe. when its not raining this will be located outside the front door. 5/Liquid soap is in place in the toilet for all to use. If you see this needs refilling, please advise Jenny or the staff working. 6/ Tables and laminated menus are wiped over as normal after being used by customers as have been done in the past. A laminated copy of the menu is located on the notice board for customers to review prior to entering and reduce the need to handle a menu inside the cafe. 7/ Records of customers details that signed in will be removed from as each sheet is filled and store safely to ensure privacy NOTE: Jenny wants everyone to know this will place extra work on her and her team to enforce and monitor, she requests all customers work with the cafe to ensure the safety and well being of the staff and other customers on the premises. TOGETHER WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME

05.01.2022 Good Evening All: Just to let you know, over this June long weekend the cafe will trade from 8am to 2pm. However from Tuesday 9th June the cafe will resume normal trading hours from 8am to 4pm 7 days a week. Its been very pleasing to see many regular faces back through the door in the past 2 weeks and even some new faces. The heaters are dusted off and plugged in to keep all cosy warm. 03.01.2022 Jenny is back home and working today at the cafe, the cafe will be open until 4pm, so back to normal hours. Jenny would like to thank everyone for their best wishes on her mums health. Her mum is a fighter and is in reasonably good spirits.

02.01.2022 24/9/2019, UPDATE on Trading hours this week. The Cafe will still close on Thursday 26/9 at 3pm. Due to staff not being available on the FRIDAY 27/9, Jenny will have to close the cafe for that day and Saturday 28/9. The cafe will re open on Sunday 29/9 at 8am. 02.01.2022 GOOD MORNING: Its nice to see some more rain falling today. I want to advise all of my customers that I am making a change to the trading hours for winter only and for the weekends only. As of next weekend 27/6 the cafe will trade from 8am to 2pm on weekends only. since I have re opened its been very quiet after 2pm and to control operating costs I have had to make this decision. Feel free to talk to me about this when you are next at the cafe as I value all feedback. In the mean time, enjoy this precious rain and stay warm and healthy and safe on the roads. 02.01.2022 Further to our previous post, Rob and Julie Manvell who own Antilles Coffee and supply our yummy coffee beans have come on board and donated bags of coffee beans to help us along with the free coffee for the boys and girls fighting the fires in our area. Thanks Julie and Rob. Great people and great coffee.

02.01.2022 Cafe on Gate St (The Yellow House) will provide a free medium cappuccino or tea to all fire fighters working hard to control the fires in Kootingal, Moonbi , Limbri and surrounds. 02.01.2022 Well its Monday morning and we are a bit late in getting this information out to you, I will have to go to Centrelink today to see what they can offer by way of assistance for small business. Keith has been trying all weekend on and off to link the business with Centrelink as he was advised to do last week. However the instructions are not easy to follow. Nothing much to add than this, so we will keep posting more information as it becomes more clearer. Hope all are safe and locked away in their home. 01.01.2022 The cafe is still open from 8am to 2pm daily. The hours have been cut back because it has been quiet in the afternoon. This morning Jenny has set up a service window to enable customers to pick up their orders while keeping the required social distancing space. A copy of the full menu is located on the wall as you enter the cafe. All menus items are available as a take away. Again you can phone your order through on 6760 5020 and Jenny and her team will have it ready for pick... up. As this is the only cafe is Kootingal, Jenny is trying to keep it as normal as possible for the local community. If sales drop off then she will have to close until this problem is over. The EFTPOS is still working so payments can be contactless. Jenny appreciates all the words of encouragement received so far and hope to be able to provide a service to the Kootingal community.
