25.01.2022 Among the hectic times the pandemic has brought us, we have completely forgotten about our two year anniversary!! On the 1st of July, we reached two years of trading. Our family business has grown to become much more than we could have imagined, providing a taste of japan in our Mona vale home. We are so grateful for our extended family - that is our regulars and local community that have supported us even through the unforeseeable circumstances of covid. ... We are so lucky to have survived such crazy times. We hope to continue trading for many years to come! Thank you all See more

24.01.2022 * A year * Today marks the one year anniversary of our little Japanese tea house in Mona Vale The team and boss man bun have worked tirelessly, somehow managing a 7 day hotspot of a cafe. Not only have we brought up the cafe to what it is, we have also created amazing cafe friends and family, produced a perfect menu (we hope), and had our amazing Good Food review!!... Not a day has gone by without realizing how amazing it is for our dream to become a reality ~ let alone it running for a year (already!) The Monaka family will forever be grateful for our customers, the amazing regulars and our great friends/family who have made this possible! Thank you all *to many more years to come* Cheers

With new challenges and government restrictions at play - we see this as a point where we should pause for the safety of all. We are simply not willing to compromise the health and wellbeing of our family or yours. ... We must also consider with our strata management, the safety of residents and the local community. 23.01.2022 We’re back with open doors! (Sort of) As per the ease of government restrictions, we will open the cafe for 10 people at a time from Friday 15th. Though we are still far from ideals, we are happy to see things ease back to normal.... For everyone’s safety, we will limit tables with social distancing in mind. We are also operating with just the limited takeaway menu for both dine in and takeaway orders. We thank you for ongoing support and continuous understanding! See more
