13.01.2022 Part of the reorganizing of the cafe I decided I would like a change of artwork to brighten things up. Norma, one of our talented residents, has supplied us with these beautiful watercolour's to display. She is selling them for ridiculously low prices if anyone is interested. Happy to take closeups of the others if you wish to see more detail.

11.01.2022 While alot of you are in lock down all day every day and probably already going insane im pretty lucky I still get to be working and get out of the house every ...day. Very lucky really as I know people have lost their job and lives have changed dramatically with this virus. I am going to try post photos from all around NZ while I go back through my albums from the last few years hopefully every day so you all dont forget what a beautiful country we live in and that you'll all get to adventure it again soon enough :) See more

10.01.2022 Wednesday we closed the kitchen and spent the day cleaning, clearing out excess furniture and trying to work out how we can open for dine in again. Not looking good because of the 4sqm and social distancing laws it's very difficult and we are frustrated at trying to explain to everyone why they can't all come down and gather together like they used to. Well really, when will this nightmare be over? PLEASE ALWAYS CALL FIRST for both table bookings and takeaway orders. Social ...distancing laws still apply. New layout for our front, max 7 at the moment and back areas, max 6 people (only 2 are able to sit at that round table), plus the decks but it's been a little cool out there of late. Once seated you must remain there and cannot move about the cafe. After completing your order you may be asked to leave to allow someone else to enter the cafe. Max square footage only allows us to have a total of 18 inside the cafe including those coming in for other reasons, like collecting takeaways etc. Bookings must be made because of these strict rules, and we really don't like telling people no, but unfortunately we will have to continue saying no to many of your requests. NO ONE CAN ENTER THE CAFE IF THEY HAVE A COUGH, FEVER OR ANY FLU SYMPTOMS! We are also having to make changes to entry and exit, order and collection areas and lots of other. I don't mind telling you my head is going to explode. So many requirements but we are trying our best.

07.01.2022 Hope you are all keeping well and safe. Stay home! if you need to and ask for help! if you need it, if we can help we will. Yes we are operating as close to normal as possible.... Yes we are cooking meals Tuesday for delivery or takeaway... ....... and Friday roast lunch etc We are trying to keep in stock items in our convenience store, Milk Bread etc and if you are desperate possibly even some loo paper. We can do take away coffees Sandwiches Burgers Sausage Rolls and baking Milkshakes etc etc And baking fresh daily. We have tap eftpos, and can do non contact deliveries within our community Please help us stay, because we love it here... but also we can't go anywhere else Tag anyone local please, as I'm not friends with everyone here, to help spread the word The pic is of a meal we did a couple of Tuesday's ago.... 02.01.2022 Floral Image called on the Manor office and us yesterday with these (and many more to choose from) for us to trail for a few weeks. So many beautiful arrangements to choose from. Also very reasonable to hire from $9.90 to 12.10 weekly no contract. They come and clean them and swap them over great idea for those who love flowers especially good for those who can't have fresh flowers and they don't die.....
