Puglia, a region in southern Italy, is known for its sunny weather, whitewashed hill towns, centuries-old farmland and hundreds of miles of Mediterranean coastline. Alberobello and the surrounding Itria Valley are home to unique stone huts with conical roofs (called trulli), while the city of Lecce is known as Florence of the South for its numerous examples of baroque architecture. We have chosen some of the most popular traditional dishes for our trip to Puglia: 'Tris di verdure ripiene' (Artichokes frittata, traditionally filled capsicum and eggplant) ‘Maccheroni di casa con involtino di Snapper’ (Hand-made Maccheroni pasta in a Marinara sauce accompanied with herbs and garlic filled Snapper rolls) 'Tiramisu’ (Authentic coffee-flavored Italian dessert) Starts Friday 26th June from 5.30pm. Valle d’Aosta, a region of northwest Italy, in the Western Alps, is known for its snow-capped mountains, Roman monuments and medieval castles. The area is bordered by France and Switzerland, near steep peaks including Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso.
