18.01.2022 Our long weekend adventure on The Dry Diggings Track.. part of the Goldfields Track at Daylesford! Such beautiful scenery.. Leilah rode amazingly and Gwenna & I proved our Cargo Bike can even take on the MTB trails!! #goldfieldstrack #cafecyclesadventures

14.01.2022 WOW! The last few weeks have been crazy to say the least... and I don't mean in the bikes or the building.. I just mean life in general. It's a time full of so many unknowns. I know that none of us know what the future holds normally, but in the past few days that has really hit hard - we literally do not know what the next few months will bring. Everything is day by day. If only people needed bike tubes, like they seem to need toilet paper.. we'd be laughing! We are stress...ed enough attempting to get this building finished & serve our bike shop customers, without the need for added stress just going to the supermarket.. Whilst we have tried to manage being in two places at once, it is just not working quite so well as we'd like and therefore after much consideration we have decided to only open the Bike Shop by appointment only. So from today please contact us on 0437 259 418 to make a suitable time to shop! See more

11.01.2022 We feel a bit like this at the moment... bikeless!! When we didn't think 2020 could throw anymore at us... it has! We have lots of bikes due to arrive over the next 6 months, but the ETA dates are forever changing, and this is due to a number of factors - production or manufacturing delays, overseas shipping delays, customs delays, port strikes, suppliers trying to unload and allocate items, Australian freight delays... the list literally goes on and on... We cannot do any...thing to get your bike here quicker, everything is completely out of our control. And that is really really hard.. but when it does arrive in our store, we will do everything we can to make sure we get it to you as soon as possible and in the meantime we will aim to communicate with our long list of customers when we experience any unforeseen changes... We appreciate your support & understanding during these crazy times.. X

06.01.2022 Its been awhile, and what a strange few months we have had.. Who knew that 2020 was going to be like this? And the hardest part is that the future is still so unknown. Bike sales not only across the country, but across the globe have skyrocketed, and I don't think anyone would have been prepared for the demand. With all other activities cancelled, the one thing people could still do whilst in isolation was get out and ride! Our poor shop floor looks so sad - it's a nice feel...ing when you sell a bike off the floor, but its not a nice one when we can't even offer to order one in when our suppliers are sold out too! The past few months seen Luke finish a huge job of grouting our main floor tiles and hammering in thousands of tactiles - with more still to be installed in the coming months! Meanwhile I was hit with the task of "Remote Learning" our two girls. It wasn't actually a task and I have really enjoyed helping them learn over the past 2 months - as well as having the rare opportunity to stay home. They both returned to school this week and I have been left feeling somewhat lost, but after barely being in the shop, I have a lot of catching up to do! Our shop hours will remain as By Appointment for the winter period. Please call 0437 259 418 to make a suitable time to shop! In other news, our eldest daughter Leilah, had the privilege of being selected to appear on yesterdays Sunrise Virtual Weather segment when they showcased Warrnambool via Zoom! Leilah sent in a promotional video she completed as a remote learning assignment, and the Sunrise crew thought it was pretty amazing.. She was so nervous, but did a fantastic job - for a 10 Year Old! We are beyond proud...
