25.01.2022 New Weekend! New Menu! - A Bit Abnormal! Friends, we have mustered our courage and with your support we’re bringing Café Woodworks inside dining back online with Saturday and Sunday table service, from 8am to 4pm. All your favourite menu items and staff will be there as before, and some new ones too. Eggs Benny for Breakfast? You’ve got it! Beer Battered Flathead for Lunch? It’s yours! Creamy Seafood Chowder, anytime? Go for it! ... Want to try something new? Sure how about our new Chorizo Waffles or Ale Braised Lamb Shanks! Oh Yeah! Because we are following Covid-Safe guidelines, we are serving by these rules. Amongst other things, that reduces our customer capacity by 70% and adds some patron tracking obligations onto us. As a result, we are requesting customers to Make Bookings before coming. You can do that by phone or our website, and soon via our Facebook page too. You can request inside or outside seating. Your family and close friends can sit together as normal, while other tables will be at least 1.5 mtrs away. We hope you will understand until things are back to normal, bookings are limited to 90 minutes, which we hope will still give you a pleasant time out for food and friends. Being Covid-Safe is a community achievement, so we ask that you respect all the safeguards you already know so well. Come only if you’re well, give people you don’t know the courtesy of some distance, wash your hands, and help us comply with the compulsory record keeping by providing your name and a contact method should that become necessary. Opening for full service, with all its associated costs is a bit scary for us under these patronage restrictions. But with your support, it is a risk we are encouraged to take to let us all not forget how to be caring and social with one another how to be human. See you on the weekend! Remember to book! 24.01.2022 GOOD NEWS ALERT!!! We have just kicked off a partnership with Landtasia Organic Compost to re-use over 8 tonnes a week of our spent hops and yeast by-product in... organic compost! We weren't keen on sending this by-product down to the sewer when it could be turned into something valuable. Landtasia will be re-using over 450 tonnes a year of brewing by-product, they'll work their wizardry with it, turning it into compost and organic beef.
