25.01.2022 We were fortunate today to receive a donation of 1950s scales, doll, baby's clothes and a blanket from the original Baby Health Centre at Mawson Park. Thanks to Lynne Ireland, a registered nurse, who kept them in storage and brought them in.

19.01.2022 Calling Macarthur residents; Remember the Australian Bicentennial 1988? Perhaps you or your community group were involved in making hanging banners celebrating... that bicentennial. The society has in its possession around 80 banners created by schools, and community groups from all over the area. These photos only show one side of two different banners. A lot of effort was exerted to create these items from history and we would like to gather as much information as possible about them. Please contact [email protected] if you were involved. See more

16.01.2022 Art conservator Natteo Volonte works on the Glenalvon House stairway this week. The entry and stairwell walls were painted to resemble marble in 1883 by local ...painter Mr R. Campion. He signed his work on a section of the marbling upstairs. Campion also painted the hall of Glenlee House to resemble marble. The restoration of the wall painting is being carried out by Campbelltown Council. See more
