21.01.2022 Please pray for the Grasstree Gathering which kicks off today for 5 days. Church Army was able to use your donor dollars to sponsor 5 delegates to attend. Please pray for these Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders. https://www.grasstreegathering.org.au The Grasstree Gathering is a national, inter-denominational and non-denominational event which brings together emerging and established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian leaders from across Australia and from across denominations and churches. Grasstree Gathering’s vision is to celebrate, encourage, equip and inspire an emerging generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders.

16.01.2022 Hi everyone the members of Church Army in Australia were advised yesterday that due to ongoing financial challenges the national office and operation has now been wound down with only core administrative functions in place. Judy Douglas stepped down from her part time CEO role in December. The Kihilla site will be sold and the proceeds directed into a capital fund which will be invested in order to seed and support evangelistic ministry across Australia. These initiatives will ensure the long term sustainability of the objects of Church Army. Further details will be provided in due course.

16.01.2022 Speaking of evangelists....Christians across the world are mourning the loss of Dr Billy Graham today AND rejoicing with him in his elevation to Glory! Imagine how many people he will meet whose decision to follow Christ was the direct result of his preaching? A phenomenal legacy. Tell us the impact of Billy Graham's ministry on your life? Did you attend a crusade somewhere? What other impact did he have?

15.01.2022 Hi all - sad to advise you that Doug Quayle died this week. Great for him of course being with the Lord, sad for us all who remember him so fondly. Please pray for his wife Pat and daughter Deanne. Doug went into hospital on Tuesday night with severe respiratory issues, an aggressive cancer was identified, and the end came very quickly on Friday afternoon. Doug was a longtime CA evangelist and "part of the woodwork" of CA Australia over decades. No funeral details as yet.

13.01.2022 We had a great catch up recently at the AGM for Church Army in Australia at Kihilla. Jack Harradine and John Stanley get the prize for travelling the furthest to be there!

12.01.2022 Please pray THIS WEEK for the hundreds of young people who have registered for Soul Survivor NSW. Church Army Australia was delighted to be able to partner with Soul Survivor to help finance the cost of buses that are transporting youth to various mission projects across the North Coast of NSW, including to Yamba/Maclean to work alongside Lyn Bullard and ‘Church on the Clarence’ for the week and places like ‘Sherwood Cliffs’ Rehab Centre in Coffs Harbour. Church Army trained ...NSW Soul Survivor Director Matt Gelding says, Dear Church Army, we are very grateful and encouraged with your generous support - thank you very much. I look forward to sharing with you what God does in these young people. Thank you very much! Thank you for your ongoing support of Church Army. Please pray that many of these young people participating in the Soul Survivor mission would come to a personal faith in Christ. Pray that God would sustain Matt and the Soul Survivor leadership team this week. Pray that these local mission activities would serve to strengthen the local church (eg Lyn Bullard) in their ongoing witness in their communities.

10.01.2022 We farewelled this wonderful man yesterday whose life embodied the Church Army mission to reach the least, the last and the lost. His compassion for people was the love of Jesus in his heart. Thankyou Doug Quayle.

08.01.2022 Wonderful evangelist and founder of RICE Movement, Steve Chong is very sick. It is believed his condition may have worsened since this post a couple of days ago. Please pray!
