23.01.2022 To our clients at Big Bend and Spencer. We are trying to come up with a satisfactory solution to the Covid dilemma. We need to be available to you all when necessary, while still making sure both our clients and our staff remain healthy. We all have family members with compromised immune systems who we need to protect as best we can. Surgeries: this week we will continue with them. We may ask you to come in one at a time into the waiting room. Office hours: we would sugg...est putting non time critical appointments such as adult booster vaccines, nail trims off for several weeks. However puppy vaccinations to prevent parvo need to be done. Any sick or injured pet, ear infections, skin issues should be seen. Suggest calling the office the day you want to come. Refills: prescription refills and flea/tick medication refills can be mailed out to you if you wish. We could also have them ready for pick up if you call ahead of time. Call us if you need us. 19.01.2022 We have had questions about essential oils, so here is the animal poison controls answer to which oils cause problems with cats. Even though some oils are listed as safe for cats, we still do not recommend rubbing any of them on your cat. We have seen several cats with liver failure, who are young, and without any real good explanation to why this happened to them. Cats simply cannot tolerate certain compounds without damage to their liver or kidneys.

13.01.2022 Hello to all our clients both in Big Bend, and at Spencer! We are trying to be back to our regular hours, just with modifications. At the Big Bend clinic, during office hours, please sign in on the door, wait in your car with your pet, and we will call you in one at a time. At the Spencer office, you come by appointment as usual, then when you arrive at the parking lot you can call from your cell and let them know you are there, or knock on the door. 927-3528, We are worki...ng on rescheduling surgeries that were put off, and new ones to schedule. It would be helpful if clients at BOTH clinics would not show up early. Arriving 25-45 minutes early hampers our ability to see folks at a decent pace. 11.01.2022 We’ve got kittens! 7 weeks old, cute as can be! The adoption process is the same as usual- fee is a half cost spay/neuter ($37.50 females, $20 for males) and then when they are ready for their surgery all you have to pay is the $10 rabies vaccine. They’ll come with their first vaccines and deworming. Litter trained and ready for homes of their own!

06.01.2022 Just a rehash on our hours and the way we work here at Cain Vet Clinics. Spencer office-- to have your pet seen by Dr. Cain--all by appointment. Please call 927-3528 --to pick up meds or refills, Monday and Fridays 9-6, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday's 9-4 Big Bend office-- walk in hours-no appointment needed-Monday12-2, Tuesday 4-6, Wednesday 5-6, Friday 9-11, Saturday 9-10 --Monday and Wednesday meds can be picked up also f...rom 9-4. 354-6161 We do not use social media to answer questions. Those all need to be done by calling one of the offices. Our employees are not allowed to use their social media either for answering questions. Please do not ask them. They can lose their jobs, as we are responsible for their responses. Again call the clinic numbers. The clinic phone at the Big Bend office rings at our house so that we can help you in an emergency, if we are home, we will answer. Questions left on messenger will most likely not be answered, as it is not checked regularly. Be old fashioned like us and use your phone. See more

To our clients at our Big Bend office---Sorry for short notice, Dr. Can will not be there for office hours Tuesday, March 10th due to an unavoidable appointment. He will be there Wednesday evening, 5-6 at our usual time.
