18.01.2022 Just another one to add to the growing list. #AnnastaciaPalaszczukMP

17.01.2022 "A GOLD Coast Uber driver sexually assaulted a drunk passenger with the car doors locked while parked for 27 minutes, the Southport District Court has heard. Sa...tveer Singh, 25, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault this morning. The woman he assaulted told him: You should not be doing this. You are an Uber driver, aren’t you? Singh, who was on a student visa from India, had his visa cancelled after he was charged and it is not clear if his visa will be reinstated. He has spent a year in custody, including 300 days in immigration detention mostly on Christmas Island. Judge David Kent sentenced Singh to a three year good behaviour bond. He said he did so because Singh, due to his time in immigration detention, had already spent more time in custody than he would have been sentenced to. Mr Kent said Singh had breached his position of trust. She was vulnerable, alone and alcohol effected and the circumstances between the two of you created a position of trust, Mr Kent said. The court heard the terrifying attack took place after the 20-year-old woman had been out drinking with friends on September 23, last year." See more

15.01.2022 Good yarn for a laugh and brighten up your day.

14.01.2022 Hi from beautiful Cairns. Getting a bit of rain at the moment, but nothing to keep you indoors.

12.01.2022 You don't have to get wet, call a taxi. 4048 8333

08.01.2022 Breaking - Annastacia Palaszczuk and her gutless Minister Steven Miles should hang their heads in shame. Labor are currently ripping down the Lady Cilento name from the hospital. There is no better example of how out of touch this government is.

07.01.2022 Best bed and breakfast I ever stayed at.

07.01.2022 What a great place to stay.

03.01.2022 Palaszczuk/Trad Dictatorship Back A Loser In UBER. Dear Premier, Congratulations, your immoral, unethical excuse for a government is excelling itself in the der...egulation by stealth of the Taxi industry. Only yesterday I had a call from a friend, who gave me my start in the industry as a driver in 1993, who advised he would be closing the doors of his taxi management business for the last time at the end of November. Four and a half years of struggle mentally, physically and financially have taken their toll on many thousands and with the five year mark coming up in April, 2019 there is nothing in reserve to work through the traditionally slow months of January, February and March. You and your dictatorship partner Trad will have achieved your ultimate goal, the annihilation of an industry and its people. The blood of many is on your hands but undoubtedly you will bring out the champagne and celebrate, the spin doctors will turn your pure evil into a virtuous win. I challenge you, Trad and that poor, expendable excuse for a Minister, Bailey to explain in Parliament to the people of Queensland why: 1. Supporting a foreign corporation that exports 27.5% of every fare to an Amsterdam tax haven bank account is in the best interests of the people of Qld. 2. Supporting a Uber burn and churn driver model where drivers provide their own vehicle and struggle to earn, after all costs, half the minimum wage per hour and how that is in the best interests of Qld workers. 3. Supporting a foreign corporation to the extent of writing off hundreds of fines issued to Uber drivers (which Uber were paying), winding down enforcement, which Trad lied about, and devaluing the rule of law in our democracy is in Queenslander’s best interests. 4. Deliberately setting out to ensure that the taxi industry could not compete with Uber’s pricing, by not levelling the playing field on costs and thus ensuring the demise of the industry in the longer term, is in Queenslander’s best interests. 5. Deliberately and with malice setting out to bring the value of taxi licences, property purchased from the government in good faith, to zero knowing full well that many owners were indebted to banks. The government sold Brisbane licences for up to $420,000 in 2007 which are now worth close enough to zero. Is that in the best interests of Queenslanders, is that honourable conduct? 6. Deliberately changing the timing of a review of the so called reforms to next year probably in the hope that the taxi industry will be dead and buried in that new time frame. Is that in the best interests of any Queenslanders or just your hypocritical, malicious government. Premier, why did you not give the industry a fair go and follow the precedent set by the Northern Territory government in 1999 when the decision was taken to deregulate the Taxi industry. The licences were bought back at the current market value and leased back to those who desired to stay in the industry. That would have been the fair, just and honourable action to take but then again there is not much honour amongst thieves and that is the category that you and your government have slotted yourselves into. Just hope that Queensland can survive the two years until the next election, though my mail is Trad will be in the big chair around April next year, so you won’t have to worry. By the way you are backing a loser with Uber. Kind Regards, John Rahilly.
