22.01.2022 Well here is a story. I have seen fish, worms, frogs, sand, rocks and various types of vegetation coming through the Cairns water supply. (Look back through this page for photos). But this has tested me, because it was moving around causing intermittent problems from: ... No water to slow to fast at differing times. Numerous times. First I found a bit of vegetation had fouled the pressure limiter(replaced). This morning I pulled the whole show apart including the dishwasher tap. I found this plastic sheath from electrical cable was the culprit as it manouvered around the entrance to the shutoff valve to the water purifier. If this tail chasing had happened to someone else, it would have cost them a penny. Thanks Cairns Water for a valuable learning experience.

17.01.2022 Freshwater. The grunge in the pipes was stirred up when the water was turned back on after the mains (Asbestos cement) burst recently. I did hear it mentioned that the replacement schedule for these pipes has been fast tracked.

14.01.2022 2014. I was asked to stop in at a senior citizens building to see why the cooler was leaking and not cooling. My advice was that, 'this is unrepairable' amidst chuckles that could easily have turned into uncontrollable side splitting laughter.

07.01.2022 These pictures are examples of what the best filter in the market removes. If your off the shelf filter doesn't block or slow down over a period of months you are probably using an inferior filter.
