23.01.2022 I haven’t had Cruz coffee in so long and it’s open. Ahhhhh. Exquisite. Support local.
23.01.2022 Gorgeous black cockatoos on the Esplanade just north of the volleyball courts. I’m not sure what kind it is but according to my bird book it looks like Carnabys Short Billed Black cockatoo which is usually only found in the southern tip of Western Australia. Any bird experts out there can confirm? Esplanade is a lovely walk these days in the sun. New cafe on the north end run by Tattooed Sailor gang. Cant wait to try it. #cairns #cairnsurbanwalkingtours
22.01.2022 Two more essential stops at Rusty’s. Dimitri and his coconut delicacies and Rocco’s Italian food. Be sure to pick up those amazing local and specialty items you can’t get at the major supermarket chains. Tomorrow trading restrictions ease. Yippeee @_thegratefulcoconut_ @ Rusty's Markets
22.01.2022 Wow! Well done Wolf Lane
22.01.2022 Freshwater Heritage Trail is so interesting. Its where the main fresh water supply was north of Cairns city so an important stop. The trail map is opposite the train station so you can take a photo and follow it. Fun to do with family and friends. #cairnsurbanwalkingtours #cairnsopenspaces #cairnswalks @ Freshwater, Queensland, Australia
21.01.2022 If you’re looking for a beautiful place to walk check out Freshwater near the train station. Some great signage. The gorgeous sugar cane fields with their lovely flowers and birds. Truly magical. Get out there and walk and explore. @ Freshwater, Queensland, Australia
18.01.2022 A beautiful history walk with Tracey, who grew up in Cairns and moved away 30 years ago. She remembers going to Bolands when it was a department store! It was lovely hearing about her life and she enjoyed some of larger facts and info about Cairns.

15.01.2022 Palm Cove paradise today. The most people I have ever seen at this beach and all locals. The silver lining from this pandemic is the appreciation for what we have. #cairnsurbanwalkingtours
14.01.2022 Hey Social Ramblers Walking Group! I forgot last fun week that I am Found prepolling for the next two week s, so I won’t make our Monday morning walk. I have spoken to a few group members and encouraged the group to walk on without me. Enjoy and have fun and take photos...

06.01.2022 Tracey grew up in Cairns and has lived in Brisbane for 30 years. Back for a school reunion and we walked the Cairns History tour. She loved it. Remembered going into Bolands as a kid. #cairnsurbanwalkingtours
06.01.2022 If you’re looking for a lovely walk, the new construction in Redlynch in front of the Red Beret includes some nice new historical markers. Did you know that the longest novel ever written in Australia was written by Xavier Herbert called Poor Fellow My Country which went on to receive the Miles Franklin literary award? He lived in a small house right next to the Red Beret. He was a pharmacist and author. If you keep walking from the Red Beret down the pathway underneath the overpass towards the Freshwater roundabout, there are also some more historical markers down in that area next to the creek. Add this to your list of lovely urban walks around Cairns to get out of the house and excercise in our beautiful city. @ Redlynch, Queensland
