25.01.2022 Cairns Young Voices met on Zoom this Thursday. It was wonderful to see the familiar smiling faces. It has been a steep learning curve for all of us and we have all been working hard to adjust. Hoping to see you again next week for another zoom lesson! We will be sure to capture a photo or two next week.

20.01.2022 Dear Parents and students, It is with great sadness that classes at Cairns Young Voices have come to an early finish this term. There will be no classes from this Thursday the 26th of March. As we come to terms with the Coronavirus health crisis, I hope that you all stay safe and healthy and that your children remain in a positive frame of mind. We know there will be challenging times ahead for everyone. I hope that your children keep singing and keep up with some expressive... outlet from home. 14.01.2022 Mrs. Long's music appreciation 3 class via zoom!

09.01.2022 Cairns Young Voices is very happy to announce we are resuming face-to-face classes next term. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have had a term of online classes using Zoom. We ran music appreciation classes, drama, music theatre, and theory lessons. Our creative and highly adaptable teachers, Mrs. Long and Mrs. Walsh delivered wonderful lessons. The students are to be congratulated on their excellent participation. Their learning continued. They sang, did bookwork, responded,... performed monologues, sourced props and costumes, prepared choreography, and generally had an enjoyable time seeing their friends and teachers over Zoom. Mrs. Walsh was thrilled with the success of both her drama and music theatre zoom classes. The students engaged in various drama and movement activities throughout the term, focusing on characterization and performing skills. Both classes performed their individual monologues with great confidence and skill. Mrs. Walsh would like to thank them all for their hard work and enthusiasm. 05.01.2022 Cairns Young Voices were filmed today at CPAC in preparation for this year's live-streamed Carols By Candlelight. This is brought to you by Cairns Regional and we are so excited to be taking part. The children were super during their 3 hour photo shoot today.

04.01.2022 Cairns Young Voices were very happy to be back face-to-face this term. We were excited to be involved in a recording opportunity provided by the Cairns Regional Council for Carols By Candlelight. Filming will follow. The students rehearsed in just two weeks and sang beautifully.
