25.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the postponement, possible cancellation of the 10th Annual Cairns 2 Kuranda Train Race 2020. Self isolation measures continue to tighten and probably won't become any easier by May 17th. We certainly didn't predict a pandemic! All early bird entrants have been emailed and offered a 100% refund. Keep an eye on this page, if we do have an opportunity to reschedule the race we will, but we are sure you understand the difficulty of predicting any return to normality. Stay positive, strong, keep enjoying those trails and our lovely bushland, look after your health and your families. 16.01.2022 Wow, the best way to get to Kuranda just got even better... Apart from trail running of course. We are currently looking at a date in the last 3 months of 2020... One that doesn't clash with other events. Great to have seen so many of you out on the trails recently...

05.01.2022 Next up in our greatest mountain runners of all time series, we celebrate Melissa Moon. Melissa, from New Zealand, started her running career in track and cross... country, where she was a national champion over 5000m and 10000m and 7 time national cross country champion, but her unexpected third place in the 1997 World Mountain Running Championships confirmed to her that it was mountain running she wanted to focus on. But after another third place and a fourth in that competition she knew she had to adapt her preparation. It worked and she became World Mountain Running Champion in 2001 and 2003.
